Listening to Maleah explain why she left and why none of us knew about it made it clear to me that she had been worried, that she hadn't liked it when she couldn't reach us. It is obvious the moment Fortune pushes forward, there is no denying that Maleah has a Lycan and both of them listen as Kay takes over the conversation from Mack.

My phone buzzes to let me know I have received a message and after getting my phone from my pocket I take a look at the screen, Longford died unexpectedly in La Himta. It is a message from one of our Scouts and I quickly read through the rest of the message, gagging as he describes how Longford died.

"Uhm, guys.." I say to get everyone's attention. "I think it is best not to piss off our Mate." I say before I hand my phone to Mack and Kay looks over his shoulder to read the message.

Both of them look at Maleah in shock before Mack hands my phone to one of our Alphas and it takes a few minutes before everyone has read the message, "How did you manage to get into La Himta undetected?" Kay asks.

"Not that difficult when you own the place." She says as she sits down on a couch. "The former owner was a client of mine and he left it to me in his will, none of his Pups had been interested in taking over and a few years before his death he had told me about La Himta.

I went there to see what it was like when he invited me and I told him what I would change if I owned the place, it wasn't until after his death that I found out that he had leffit to me His Pups still visit La Himta but only twice a year, on his birthday and on the day of his death." Kay and I sit down on either side of her, just to be close to her and I feel the same

Yeah, we definitely have to finish the house and get ourselves a huge bed to sleep in. I don't think any of us will be able to sleep through a night without Maleah and I hope that the same goes for her.

"Maleah, We want you to come to this morning's meeting. For now I suggest we all go to bed and get some sleep." Dominic says as he gets out of his seat. "I would like to hear what happened with Longford and maybe you can help us out with our new assignment."

As we walk home I wonder how we
