A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Chapter 148 A Suggestive Message

A warm feeling spread through Sierra's heart, and the corners of her lips curved up slightly.

She handed the unopened bottle of milk to the security guard, saying, "Thank you for helping me earlier."

The guard quickly waved his hand in refusal. "No worries, Ms. Shaw. It was nothing. No need to thank me."

However, Sierra insisted on him taking it by placing the bottle of milk on his desk. "It's just a bottle of milk. Please take it."

With that, she turned and left.noveldrama

The guard wanted to chase after her to return it, but a car that needed to be registered had pulled up. By the time he was finished, Sierra was already out of sight.

He looked at the milk on his desk and couldn't help but look it up online. When he saw the price, his jaw dropped.

That bottle of milk cost as much as a day's wages for him. So, he carefully put the bottle away, planning to take it home for his daughter to try later.

After Sierra had returned home, she sat down on the couch, feeling exhausted. She looked at the milk in her hand, then took out her phone and opened her chat with Theo.

She typed out a message that read, "I received the milk. Thank you, Uncle Theo."

However, just as she was about to send it, she hesitated. She kept editing and re- editing the message, only to delete it all in the end. Hence, no message was sent.

She didn't know how she should face Theo.

Meanwhile, Theo stared at the "typing" indicator for a long time, but no message came through.

He could almost imagine Sierra holding her phone, struggling to think what to say. His lips curved up into a faint smile, and he decided to video call her.

Sierra was startled when the video call notification popped up on her phone. She then declined the call without thinking, but the moment she did, she regretted it.

She could have just ignored it and pretended that she had not seen him calling. Why did she have to decline his call?

She was an idiot.

Just as she was busy berating herself, a message from Theo popped up. "Why you decline my call?"

She bit her lip, her mind going blank. Then, she impulsively replied, "I'm in the shower, so it's inconvenient."

As soon as she sent it, she realized the message sounded too suggestive. She tried to delete it, but before she could do so, she received another message from Theo.

"Alright then, take your time. There's no rush. I'll wait for you."

His message was just as suggestive.

Sierra's beautiful face reddened in

an instant, and she buried her heart

in a cushion. She was embarrassed and could not face anyone anymore.

On the other end of the phone, Theo looked at his screen, amusement flashing across his eyes.

He could almost picture her blushing shyly, and his usually cold expression softened. Then, he up and grabbed his car keys from the desk before leaving the office.

In the end, Sierra did not have the courage to video call Theo.

Instead, she actually went to take a shower By the time she finished drying her hair, over an hour had passed, and the sky outside bad completely darkened.

Sierra sat back on the sofa and finally sent him a message.

"Uncle Theo, thank you for the milk, but you don't need to send me any more. I

can buy it myself."

"Don't you like it?"

"It's not that I don't like it. I just feel like it's too much trouble for you."

"It's no trouble as long as you like it."

Was he flirting with her again?

The heat that had just subsided on Sierra's face began to rise again. She pursed

her lips, unsure how to continue the conversation.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated when she received another message from Theo. "Have you finished your shower?"

Her face turned red again, and she bit her lip lightly.

"Yes."

"Have you eaten?"

"Not yet."

"Perfect. Come have dinner with me."

Sierra frowned at the latest message on her phone, feeling confused.

Then, another message popped up. "Come down. I'm parked outside your neighborhood."
