Marissa smiled at Arabella and took the chance to give Burnet a disapproving look when Arabella wasn’t watching.

Connor also smiled and said to Burnet, “That’s enough.”

Marissa then turned back to Arabella and soothingly said, “Arabella, don’t listen to Mr. Hoffman’s nonsense. He’s just joking.”
