Billionaire's Pregnant Ex-wife

My husband Ex 79

He was having difficulty breathing, he thought to himself while looking at her in startled puzzlement. For a moment that seemed to go on forever, his world stopped turning. He could not believe what he was seeing.

Is he drunk after consuming two glasses of wine? Was his imagination going wild again, and were his eyes playing tricks on him? Rapidly, he blinked, thinking that doing so would set his vision straight. But after several seconds of doing so, Lily remained standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking like a smooth porcelain doll with a sweet smile on her lips while more than a dozen men flocked around her like bees, as if she were a delightful piece

of honey.

Still unable to recover from shock, he stared at the beautiful hue of her eyes. He found himself captivated by the most unique eye colors he had ever seen in his life. The left eye shone like a green gemstone, while the other sparkled noticeably, reminding him of the color of a blue lagoon.

Her eyes confirmed who she was. Indeed, she was Lily, his wife! A voice in his head whispered harshly, "ex-wife," and he found himself groaning in pain as an imaginary

arrow struck his heart.

Unable to tear his gaze from her face, he continued to survey her features, absorbing every detail while wondering what had changed in her appearance during the past year he hadn't

seen her.

Nothing in her had changed at all-only improved, he thought to himself. Her facial features were now more pronounced and refined. It might just be his imagination playing tricks on him, but she looked younger compared to the last time he had seen her a year ago. It was as if she had taken a sip from the fountain of youth, and that had changed her appearance overnight.

But maybe the fountain of youth didn't exist at all; she had just rid herself of toxic people in

her life.

Her upturned nose still looked perfectly the same, except that it appeared more refined now. It was as though an expert sculptor had carved it to perfection. Her lips were full and lush. He couldn't help but admire them for a moment.

Watching her lips move made his throat go dry as the Sahara Desert.

Lily had gained some weight, he noticed. She had been so skinny before, but now she had filled out in all the right places. Her chest was fuller and firmer, and so was her perky butt. But despite that, her waist remained small and her stomach flat as a wall. He didn't remember seeing her figure so perfectly shaped like an hourglass before.

From being a simple girl, she had magically transformed into a woman. Not just any woman, but a beautiful and very powerful one.

She was like a caterpillar metamorphosing into a butterfly. No one had expected she would

turn out to be like this.

"Excuse me, Sir, could you please move aside? I will clean the broken glass on the floor," a hotel staff member spoke, temporarily distracting him from his wandering thoughts.

He let out a groan and moved aside without tearing his gaze from Lily's direction. Soon, the

staff member left after cleaning the floor. He briefly looked at the departing staff to

ensure

she wouldn't disturb him again before he resumed watching Lily.

As if she sensed him looking at her, she turned her chin toward his direction. Without warning, she gave him the sweetest smile that hit him like a tidal wave.

The look she gave him seemed to say, “Look at me now, jerk!"

He nearly had a mini heart attack from that smile. Lily wasn't looking at him anymore, yet he still hadn't recovered from the impact of the smile she had given him.

His throat felt tight and dry. He took a drink from a passing waiter. Without looking at what he got, he swallowed the contents in one gulp.

The golden liquid burned his throat, easing the dryness. The pleasant sensation descended to the pit of his stomach, somehow alleviating the stress and tension within him.

He wanted to approach his ex-wife, but he couldn't summon the courage to do so. With a hundred men hovering around her, waiting to grab her attention, there was no way she would look at him again.

She was so near and yet so far. Just like a star, he could watch from afar, but he could never touch it with his fingers.

As though fate were trying to hurt his feelings further, a man he hadn't noticed in the crowd earlier came to Lily and offered his hand to her, which she took willingly. She then smiled at the man in a way he hadn't seen before. It was like watching the stars twinkle in her eyes.noveldrama

A woman would never look that way at a man if he didn't mean anything to her.

A deep frown carved its way onto his forehead as he watched Lily follow the man to the center of the room without letting go of his hand. Following their movement were several envious eyes-including his own.

He felt a sudden tightening in his chest when the man wrapped his arms around Lily's hips and pulled her closer to his body. She, in turn, placed her hand around his neck intimately.

Grey could only grit his jaw as the perfect couple began to dance. An urge within him wanted to march to the dance floor and pull Lily away from the man's grasp. But before he lost his mind, he stopped himself. He would only make a fool of himself with such foolishness.

Lily didn't belong to him anymore. They were divorced now, and he was married to someone else. He had no right to act as if he owned her.

But damn it! He cursed under his breath, aware of the jolting pain in his chest that he labeled as jealousy.

The song "Glimpse of Us" played in the background as the two danced together as if the whole crowd didn't exist for them.

'Hoping I'll find

A glimpse of us

Tell me he savors your glory

Does he laugh the way I did?

Is this a part of your story?

One that I had never lived?

Maybe one day you'll feel lonely

And in his eyes, you'll get a glimpse

Maybe you'll start slipping slowly

And find me again.'

Each word sliced through him like a knife. There was nothing left between him and Lily except a glimpse of their past. Their love story had ended and had now become a thing of the past. Their love story was like a photograph; he could always look back, but he could never go back.

Should he set off the fire alarm so the two of them would stop dancing? he thought to himself with an evil grin spreading across his lips. But then, he erased the idea as quickly as

it arrived.

He never wanted to become a villain in someone else's love story. All he could do was sit in

silence and bear the pain until it hurt no more.

He found himself walking toward the dim part of the grand hall where the bar counter was located. Grumpily, he sat on the barstool and then turned to the bartender. "Give me a drink, please."

Turning to him, the bartender politely asked, "What would you like to drink, Sir? We have plenty of high-end options..."

The bartender proceeded to tell him about all the available drinks, but he was

listening at all, so he cut him off. "Just give me a drink strong enough to dull the

pain," he told the bartender.

"I apologize, Sir, but I suggest you see a medical expert," the bartender thoughtfully replied.

He raised an eyebrow at him. "And why is that?"

The waiter responded, "He might give you a dose of anesthesia to numb your

pain. A drink will never help the pain of a broken heart. Instead, it will only worsen it," he simply added.

Grey let out a forced laugh. “Just give me a damn drink," he growled, irritated.

The bartender said nothing more and proceeded to make a drink for him.

"Here is your drink, Sir. It's called Karma. Please enjoy." The bartender placed the glass on

the bar counter.

"Come again? What did you say my drink was?" he asked, his eyebrows nearly merging into a straight line as he took the glass.

"Vodka...," the bartender replied with a straight face. "Devil Springs Vodka."

Perhaps he just misheard the words. Shrugging his shoulders, he gulped the glass and then

turned his barstool to the dance floor to see the man and his ex-wife still locked in

a dance.

Said I'm fine and said I moved on... I'm only here passing time in her arms... Hoping I'll find a glimpse of us...

The damn song finally ended, Grey mused, watching in annoyance as the man inched his face closer and then laid a soft kiss on the edge of Lily's lips.

"Damn it to hell," Grey growled, his eyes screaming bloody murder. SURPERISE GIFT: 3850 bonus free for you, activity time is limited!
