Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella)

Chapter 680

As soon as there was a loud crack, a jolt of pain shot through Dan's chest.

His face went pale. Instinctively, he shoved Yvonne away from him. "That's enough!" he snapped.

Yvonne landed hard on her butt, cursing under her breath. After last night's misery, this new pain made her feel like her legs were about to fall off. The embarrassment and frustration boiled over.

"Oh, now you think it's enough?" she shouted, scrambling to her feet and ignoring

the pain.

She lunged at Dan, slapping him across the face-once, twice, three times-until he was left blinking in shock.

Dan didn't want to hit her, but he had no choice but to try and restrain her; otherwise, she was going to go full Tasmanian devil on him. The VIP lounge descended into chaos: overturned chairs, shards of glass, someone's burger squished on the floor. It was a mess.

After ten minutes of shouting and scuffling, Dan's strength finally won out. He pinned Yvonne against the wall, breathing hard.

Yvonne spat at him, voice full of venom. "You absolute piece of garbage, let go of me!"

He glared back, exasperated. "Have you lost your mind?"

Yvonne wasn't done. She twisted in his grip, yelling towards the door, "Hey! Somebody get in here and wipe that smug look off his face. I mean it-get him!"

Within seconds, three or four of Yvonne's bodyguards stormed in. Dan's crew barely had time to react, and even then, they were hopelessly outnumbered. Yvonne's team were all ex-football players and built like it.

Another round of fighting broke out. Dan and his friends got utterly flattened. They lay sprawled on the ground, battered and confused, no idea what the hell had just happened. Dan especially—he didn't understand why Yvonne had suddenly gone full Mortal Kombat on him.

Yvonne, standing over Dan's bruised body, didn't hesitate. She stepped forward and stomped hard on his wrist. *Crack.* He grunted in agony.

"Yvonne," he hissed through clenched teeth.

She crouched down, grabbing a fistful of his hair and yanking his head up so their eyes met. Hers were blazing with fury.

"Tell me," she said, her voice icy and steady, "how did it feel waking up next to me?"

The room went silent, the only sounds heavy breathing and a few groans from Dan's friends. They exchanged horrified glances. Only now did they realize why they'd been dragged into this mess.

Wait-so whoever slept with her, gets beaten up? They hadn't done anything!

Why were they collateral damage?

Their faces went pale. Dan's, if possible, went even paler.

He stared at Yvonne, incredulous. "What did you just say?"

She lifted her hand and smacked him again. "I asked you how did it feel?"

Behind her, the bodyguards kept poker faces, but inside, they were reeling. They'd often wondered what kind of guy could handle their boss. Well, now they knew: even the guy she loved was getting his butt handed to him.

Dan's head lolled to the side. He gritted his teeth. "You crazy-"

Before he could finish, another slap landed, sharp and echoing.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue? Where was all that energy you had last night, huh?"

Yvonne was shaking with anger, flashes of their wrecked hotel room that morning fueling her rage.

Dan was all but speechless, struggling to breathe.

She pressed again, "Say it. How did it feel?"

He croaked out, “Didn't feel a thing."noveldrama

His mind was a fog of pain and confusion. He honestly didn't

remember sleeping at all-sol

was she talking about?

Yvonne's eyes narrowed, and she let loose another volley of slaps, each one

landing harder than the last.
