Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1542

Christina narrowed her eyes, a sharp, assessing gleam in them.

"Allen, we're in this together, remember? I'd never do anything to hurt you."

The mix of emotions in Christina's eyes sent a chill down Allen's spine, making him feel like he was seeing a whole new side of her. An unfamiliar fear crept in.

Memories of the past flashed in his mind, making him feel like everything had been a well-orchestrated scheme from the get-go.

Seeing Allen hesitate, Christina sidled up to him, a sly smile on her lips. "Allen, if you want to make a comeback, you need to stick with me."

At that moment, Allen was sure Christina was the one stirring up trouble.

"Why?" he asked, regaining his calm after a moment. "Why would you do this? I trusted you."

"Allen, I have no idea what you're talking about," Christina said, still smiling.

Meanwhile, the internet was in a frenzy. Allen's Twitter was hemorrhaging followers-over a hundred thousand gone in just half an hour.

It was alarming. The company's PR team hadn't come up with a strategy yet, so Allen's reputation and worth were plummeting fast.

"No way, his image is really taking a hit!"

"This can't be him. He's not that clueless; he's just not this kind of person."

"Ha! That's what you get for shooting yourself in the foot. Thought he'd be hot stuff after jumping ship, but that backfired fast."

"It's not other people making him look bad; he's doing it to himself."

Allen could barely bring himself to scroll through the comments, each one a fresh sting.

Meanwhile, in Room 19

Janet rushed over to Fiona, nearly shoving her phone in Fiona's face.

"Back off a bit," Fiona frowned, nudging the phone away. "What's up?"

"Aren't you close with Allen? You've got to find out what's going on. Why would he post something like that? It's career suicide!"

Janet anxiously nudged Fiona, itching to grab her phone and call Allen herself.

"Allen's in a tight spot. If this isn't cleared up, he could be blacklisted. He's too talented for that. Fiona, you've got to get to the bottom of this!"noveldrama

Other classmates quickly gathered around, boxing Fiona in.

"Yeah, Fiona, don't you have his number? Call him and find out."

"No way Allen would self-sabotage like this. His account must've been hacked. He's never had scandals, and switching companies is normal. This has to be a rival's doing."

"Fiona, what are you waiting for? Ask him!"

Fiona was exasperated. Why was this suddenly her problem? Even if she was on good terms with Allen, she didn't need to dive into this mess.

"Move aside!" Fiona said, her voice cool and firm.

Her commanding tone made the crowd pull back a bit. She stood, and with everyone watching, walked right out of the classroom.
