Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn)

Girl Get Ride 48

The masked guy let out a sigh of relief. Just one million. His client had mentioned anything under five million would be fine. They just needed to own up and keep quiet about the people behind the scenes. If they blabbed about being directed by someone else and the Owens and Fisher families started digging, it wouldn't take long to trace it back to his client.

He'd even thought of offering two million if the tattooed fellow didn't bite. Who knew a million would do the

trick?

“Alright,” the masked man murmured. "Hand over your bank account details, and you'll see the money in no time. But if even a whisper gets out, you won't just lose the cash. You'll be risking your necks, so think it over."

He then threatened, "Take the fall, and the worst you'll face is a few years inside. But if you spill the beans, I'll make sure you don't come out the same way you went in."

The tattooed guy and his friend were terrified. Anyone who could casually offer over a million was clearly someone not to cross. They believed he meant every word.

Soon after the masked man left, Joshua's assistant, John, showed up.

"What now? Is there more..." the tattooed guy started, thinking it was the same bloke coming back. But he quickly realized it was someone new and cut himself off.noveldrama

"What?" John's eyes were icy. "Someone been here?"

“No,” the tattooed guy replied, eyeing John. “Who are you? What do you want?”

John asked, “Why did you hassle Ms. Allison tonight?"

The tattooed guy shrugged, "We were drunk, and she looked good, so we got tempted."

The blond guy nodded along, "Yeah, she was quite the looker."

John narrowed his eyes. "Watch your language. If you don't show somerespect, I'll have your tongues removed!” Two bodyguards in black suits stepped forward, making the tattooed guy and his buddy freeze in fear.

What a night they'd gotten themselves into! Only now did they realize they'd tangled with the wrong crowd. John pressed, “Think before you speak."

Still, remembering the masked man's threat, the tattooed guy and his buddy clammed up. Talking would cost them the money and maybe their lives. They stuck to their story of drunken temptation.

John was getting nowhere, and left with the bodyguards.

The next morning, Allison had barely woken up when she got a call from the police station. The police told her that her assault case was dropped. Allison wasn't surprised. She knew this was Joshua's doing.

She felt confident that, if it went to court, she could defend herself and get it ruled as self-defense, clearing her name, but since Joshua had already stepped in, she saw no reason to push back.

Allison called Joshua, politely saying thanks.

He sounded less than thrilled, "Allie, you don't need to thank me. I don't want to hear 'thank you' from you again."

Standing by her bedroom's large window, Allison answered, “Alright, got it."

Joshua continued, "I'll make sure those guys pay."

Worried Joshua might do something rash, Allison said, “They've already paid last night, and the law will handle the rest. You don't need to do anything more. Let the justice system take care of it."

Joshua's voice was low and commanding, even through the phone. "I won't let anyone who messes with you get away."

Allison listened quietly, not saying a word. She wondered, if it were Lillian giving her trouble, would Joshua feel the same way?
