Harvey York's Rise to Power

Pamela's expression changed when she heard what Harvey was saying. Because what Harvey said was the same

advice a fortune teller had given her at an ancient shrine.

The fortune teller was said to be a priest who had lived for a hundred years.

When the fortune teller looked at Pamela's fortune through the cards, his expression turned into shock. Then, he

said that she had a tragic fate and she would not live to see her fortieth birthday.

When Pamela was younger, she thought everything the fortune teller told her was rubbish. But slowly but surely,

everything the fortune teller told her about her fate was realized. However, Pamela subconsciously forgot about

her impending end due to her fear of dying.

When Harvey mentioned this to her, her expression instantly turned sour.

"Who are you? How did you know about this?' Pamela asked with a mixed expression. "Did you gather

information aboutbefore coming here?"

Harvey glanced at Pamela and said without much interest, "Why don't you take a look at yourself in the mirror?

Do you really think you're someone worthy of my tand effort? Not to mention that I can tell from your face

alone that something tragic is going to happen soon. Any fortune teller worth their salt can figure it out with just

one look.

"Does that makespecial if I can see it? That being said, I can see a little bit more than others. You've worked

hard trying to change this fate of yours. Not only did you go to Country T and seek out divine amulets, but

you've also gone to Mount Lynx and asked for a True Tortoise Talisman, right?

"However, a fate that has already been predetermined cannot be changed that easily. All these things that

you've sought out won't be able to save your life. At most, they would be able to suppress the malicious energy

surrounding you so that you would look like a normal person. But when the tcomes, you will still die. When

that tcomes, no one will clean up after your mess other than Journi."

Journi could only feel a chill down her spine when she listened to Harvey's calm description. The richer someone

became, the more they started to believe in the supernatural. This was especially true for women stuck with noveldrama

their families because of their mundane daily lives and superficial spirituality. Their faith in such things was very

strong.

Pamela had always been very interested in the supernatural and had spent a lot of money on it. Journi knew

about it too, but she kept thinking it was probably Pamela's interest. She did not expect that there was a huge

secret behind her interest. Other than being genuinely surprised, she had no other comments about it.

When Journi looked at Pamela again, there was pity in her eyes.

If everything happened just as Harvey had claimed and Pamela would die when she hit forty years old, then she

really was living on borrowed time.

Perhaps Pamela was genuinely impressed. The way she looked at Harvey was becoming more serious. She

observed Harvey briefly before saying, "If you can say all that, it means you have sskills. But... Even if

you're an expert in such divination, our family won't allow you to stay with Journi, so you should just forget about

it. Don't think you can threatenwith that."

"Threaten you? I'm not interested," replied Harvey nonchalantly.

"All I want to let you know is that three days before you die, you will feel pain wreck your entire body as you lose

all strength. Then, your flesh will slowly fall off for three whole days and nights before you die in pain..."

explained Harvey calmly. "If I were you, I would choose to kill myself before that happens."
