Augheimer was no fool, and Wilbur felt like he had lost himself after receiving help for what he had encountered in the middle dimensions. If Augheimer was just willing to think about it properly, he would quickly realize that Ramont was no friend of his.

"Well, I'm going to read up more about the dimension portal in Tevinter Town in the time to come. You're welcome to advance to the upper dimensions with me anytime you want to."

Augheimer lowered his head wordlessly, and Wilbur got up to leave. He headed to the bookstore after that, asking for any books that contained information on the old dimensional portal in Tevinter Town. He was able to find out that this portal was once located on the peak of Mount Bronc, the tallest mountain in the Cavette Mountains.

Tevinter might be a town of violence reeking of murder and bloodshed, but the extreme temperatures of the Cavette Mountains made it rather deserted. There were few people who went there, making the Cavette Mountains pretty much the only pure place in the whole main town.noveldrama

Mount Bronc was the purest place in the mountains, and putting the dimensional portal here was a pretty good way to avoid a lot of unwanted trouble. To test out if his plan would work, Wilbur decided to head to the Cavette Mountains himself.

In the past, Wilbur had thought of cultivating for seventy more years in the mirror dimension until he had a hundred thousand years of cultivation before advancing to the upper dimensions, but he could not wait any longer now.

Adela was just one of Odysseus' Senior Guards, and it had taken almost all of Wilbur and Augheimer's combined powers to kill him. That meant that Odysseus was at least ten times more powerful than Adela, and he was bound to visit Tevinter Town once he found out about Adela's death.

Even if Wilbur were to team up with Augheimer again, they might end up dead at Odysseus' hands within just a few minutes. It was best for Wilbur to activate the portal and head to the upper dimensions before that happened.

The Cavette Mountains emitted a chill that penetrated one's soul, but Wilbur did not back down in the slightest. He kept on climbing until he reached the top of Mount Bronc.

After catching his breath, Wilbur looked up to see a few large stone pillars. The portal was still there, and Wilbur walked through it. However, nothing happened.

He looked down, feeling rather disappointed. Wilbur then realized that the area within the stone pillars contained a large formation. The dimensional portal might have been closed for a few thousand years, but the formation was still very much visible.

After taking a closer look at the formation, Wilbur tried channeling his energy into it in an attempt to activate it. Yet, no matter how hard he tried, the energy in the formation would disappear soon after.

It seemed like the ancient formation required a special form of energy to be triggered. Could it be some form of energy aura from the upper dimensions?

If that was the case, the only way to activate the formation was to have an upper dimension cultivator come here and channel their energy into the formation. What

a shame the old dimensional guardian here had returned to the upper dimensions. Activating the portal again was practically impossible now.

Wilbur made his way down Mount Bronc and was just about to reach the foot when he heard two voices speaking to each other. He instinctively hid behind a big tree and saw that one of the two people talking was Conrad, the previous head of the Albert family.

"How did it go?"

"The guy's dead, but his friend escaped in the middle of the battle."

"Very well. I'll reward you for killing him."

"Thank you."
