Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 1023: I Promise I Won’t Reveal Serena’s Secret

Gavin couldn't hold back. "Master, have you even considered Serena's capabilities? She could handle something like this in minutes. And everything Serena creates-tell me, which one isn't a limited edition?"

Tristan nodded earnestly, glancing at Master Tam's red outfit. He swallowed hard. "True, Master. Maybe Serena could make some adjustments for you too?"

Wesley frowned deeply. "You're going too far. Master has his own dignity. Is it really appropriate to mess with him like this in front of everyone?"

Master Tam stroked his beard thoughtfully. Wesley's words, out of all of them, were the only ones that made any sense.

Then came the next line, one that nearly made him consider severing ties with all his disciples.

Wesley glanced at Master Tam's increasingly round figure and shook his head. "Besides, what's even left to adjust? At Master's age, can you seriously expect him to have Serena's kind of figure?"

The group fell silent for a second.

Then, unanimously, they agreed.

Recently, it did seem like their Master had been indulging a bit too much.

The bright red outfit on Master Tam-it had to be said-looked... rather festive.

They couldn't help but imagine him wearing it again at their weddings. The only problem was, when would those weddings even happen? Not one of them seemed eager to take that step.

Master Tam's face darkened further.

What sins had he committed in his past life to deserve disciples like these in this one?

Damian, seated directly across from Master Tam, finally couldn't stand it anymore. His slightly nearsighted eyes had already started seeing everything in shades of red. Adjusting his glasses, he said, "Master, how about I send someone to bring you a different outfit? One that's no less impressive than this one."

Master Tam hesitated for a moment but quickly suppressed the thought.

No way!

He'd already accepted this gift from Hayden. If he changed it now and Hayden demanded it back, what would he do?

Knowing Hayden's personality, he'd definitely follow through.

Faced with the choice between a day's worth of dignity and a box of treasures, Master Tam didn't hesitate for long. "No need to change! Hayden gave it to me... I... I think it's great."

After all, it was just for one day. It wouldn't kill him.

Tina, seeing through him at a glance, remarked calmly, "Master, your willingness to wear it shows Hayden really pulled out all the stops this time."

Master Tam choked on his words.

Before he could defend himself, he looked up to meet the eager, gossip-hungry faces of his disciples.

His temper flared. "Why are you all still standing here? Don't you know to go help Hayden? Learn from Dexter, for heaven's sake. Have some awareness!"

The group exchanged glances, realizing their Master likely had something private to discuss with Serena. Without another word, they got up and left.

Once they were out of earshot, Master Tam lowered his voice. "You little brat, don't say anything like that in front of them. You know how much they covet my treasures."

Tina was speechless. Those so-called treasures were only precious to Master Tam himself.

Every one of her brothers was worth billions-who would care about his stash of herbs, most of which they'd never even need?

Still, she knew better than to argue. The more she said, the more it would seem like she was trying to cover for her brothers. Ignoring the remark was the best course of action. However, something caught her attention. "Master, are your injuries fully healed?" Master Tam patted his chest confidently. "Your Master isn't so easily injured. If it weren't for that formation draining half my inner strength, I wouldn't have been hurt at all." Then, as if remembering something, he grinned obsequiously. "By the way, do you have any more of that healing medicine of yours? It worked wonders."

Tina turned her head. "You used up the entire bottle already?"

Master Tam clicked his tongue, looking offended. "Do I look like someone who'd waste good stuff? No, I'm just planning ahead."

Tina raised an eyebrow, giving her Master a pointed look. "Are you sure?"

Realizing her implication, Master Tam quickly backtracked. "No, no, no! What I mean is, better safe than sorry. I'm getting older, after all. If I get a little bump or scrape, it's good to have something on hand."

"None left," Tina replied bluntly.

She knew her Master too well. If she gave him more, he'd definitely sell it for cash. "Really... none left..." Master Tam looked visibly disappointed.

Tina hummed nonchalantly, reaching for the snacks and nuts on the table. She tried one, found it to her liking, and casually picked another flavor to sample.

"I only have what's left on hand-"

Before she could finish, Tina suddenly frowned, placing a hand on her chest as if suppressing a wave of discomfort.

She'd eaten very little that morning to avoid any reaction, but the sudden nausea hit her hard.

"What's wrong?" Master Tam asked, his eyes narrowing.

Tina put down the snack and shook her head. She just needed a moment to recover. Master Tam, knowing her condition, lifted his arm. "Come, let me check your pulse." Tina pressed her lips together. "I'm fine."

Master Tam insisted. "Whether you're fine or not, I'll know after I take a look." With no other choice, Tina placed her hand on the armrest between their chairs. Master Tam rested his fingers on her wrist for a few seconds before his expression relaxed. "It's a normal reaction. When you get home, have my son-in-law prepare more food that suits your appetite. If that doesn't work, keep something with a scent you like nearby. Smelling it occasionally should help."

For once, Tina didn't argue.

She'd noticed it too-almost everything made her nauseous these days, except for the perfume she'd once handcrafted for Uncle.

Oddly enough, it didn't bother her at all. In fact, it had a soothing effect.

Since noticing this, Uncle had been carrying it with him, even wearing it every day.

Master Tam chuckled knowingly. "Looks like my granddaughter is going to be just as mischievous as you were back in the day."

Tina's expression stiffened.

"Gasp!"

A sharp intake of breath came from behind them.

Hayden stood frozen in place, a tray of tea in his hands. Seeing both of them turn their gazes toward him, he stammered, "Serena... Master... I didn't mean to overhear." Master Tam, already in a bad mood, glared. "What did you hear?"

Tina's piercing stare followed.

Heavens, he had only come to deliver tea! He hadn't meant to overhear such an explosive piece of news.

"Serena, I promise I won't tell anyone that you're pregnant!"

"Gasp!!!"

A collective intake of breath erupted from behind Hayden.

They heard it.

Serena was pregnant?!

Tina's face darkened.noveldrama

Well done, Hayden. She'd remember this.

The group behind them exchanged looks, their expressions a mix of shock and

disbelief.

Damian swallowed hard. "Serena, when did this happen? Are we seriously the last ones

to know?"

Tristan blinked in confusion. "Wait a minute. We've only been apart for a few days. How could this have happened so fast...?"

"Serena, you've been hiding this from us all along!"

The group seemed to have uncovered something monumental.

They couldn't believe it-just a short while ago, Serena had been fighting an old witch in

a deadly battle. What if something had gone wrong back then? They shuddered at the

thought.

"It was my decision to keep it quiet!"

Jared's arrival pushed their outrage to its peak.

Jimmy immediately grabbed him by the collar. "Who do you think you are? This is our Serena! Do you have any idea how dangerous that situation was? And you let her face

it alone?"

"We trusted her to you, and this is how you protect her?"

"Jared, are you even a man?"

The rest of the brothers glared at him, their eyes red with fury. At that moment, they

looked ready to tear him apart.

Jared didn't resist. He didn't even try to explain.
