Her voice softened as she spoke to Juliana. She gently closed the door and left after that.

Tension simmered in the living room. The Carters’ faces were grim, shadows of anger and bitterness darkening their expressions.

Kathy broke the silence. “Grandma has always favored that manipulative woman! Even now, she’s leaving money to her! What kind of spell has Norah cast on her to make her trust Norah so completely?”

She let out a cold laugh, her tone biting yet composed. “Juliana willingly gave me the money—it was her choice, not mine. And just so we’re clear, I recorded our conversation. Sue me if you want, but you’ll only embarrass yourselves in court.”
