Loved You Once But He's My Forever (Chloe)

Chapter 573 I'm Angry

Anna's body trembled violently, her limbs shaking uncontrollably. Taylor's

presence felt different now, colder. He was no longer the man who would indulge her every whim.

She knew, the moment he realized she wanted to run again, things would change. This time, there would be no leniency.

"No, please! Don't-!"

Anna tried to move, but her body was stiff, frozen in place. Her gaze locked on the car parked in front of her, praying someone inside would save her.

But deep down, she knew the truth. No one was coming. No one could save her

now.

Tears slid down her cheeks, tracing a cold path on her skin. Taylor took off his coat and wrapped it around her shivering body. He leaned down, his voice low and cold in her ear. "You tried to run again. What do you think I should do to punish you?"

Anna's eyes blurred with tears. Once, Taylor had been so kind, so gentle with her. What had happened to him?

He had taken her back to his house, then moved her to another villa, one filled with cameras and locked doors. Her freedom was gone.

Yael came to see her sometimes, his voice gentle as he tried to reason with her. "Anna, my brother really does love you. You have no idea how torn he is, caught between you and the Carlyns."

Tears flooded Anna's eyes as she sobbed, her voice desperate. "Then just kill me! Why does he want me alive?"

"Kill you? That would be like killing him. Why do you care so much about the Sanders? My brother's been nice to you. The Sanders ... they'll all be gone soon, anyway."

The words made Anna freeze, a chill running through her. "What do you mean? Who's dead?"

Yael faltered, his face going pale. "Nothing. Forget I said anything."

"Come back, Yael," Anna cried, her voice broken. "We're friends, right? Just tell me. Did something happen to the Sanders?"

Yael shifted uneasily. "Well ... your brother's dead."

The words hit Anna like a blow to the chest. Her vision blurred, and everything went black. She collapsed onto the bed, unconscious.

Taylor rushed back, panic flooding him. He found her pale and unmoving, the shock too much for her fragile heart.

Yael stood by, his head lowered, regret written on his face. "I'm sorry, Taylor. I didn't know she would faint."

Taylor sighed, his voice softer now. "It's not your fault. She has a weak heart. Don't say things like that to her again. Understand?"

Yael nodded.

A while later, Anna stirred, her eyes fluttering open. She clung to Taylor's shirt, her voice hoarse with grief. "Is it true? My brother's really dead?"

"Yes," Taylor said softly, his voice heavy.

Tears streamed down Anna's face. "Please, take me to his funeral. I couldn't be with him when he was alive. Now... I just want to say goodbye."noveldrama

Taylor sighed a deep, resigned sound. "Anna, this is your last chance. If you try to escape again or send messages to the Sanders,

won't go easy on you anymore I've

been kind so far, but just because I

won't hurt you doesn't mean I won't go after the Sanders."

Anna's eyes widened. She shook her head frantically. "I won't run. I swear I won't. Please, just take me to see him."

"Alright."

The SUV rumbled to a stop outside the funeral home. It was crowded People were everywhere, and Taylor couldn't take her inside. He left her in the car, just for a moment

But as soon as he walked away, Anna slipped out of the car, her bare feet hitting the cold ground.

She walked quickly, her heart pounding in her chest, not stopping to think. She rounded the car-and almost collided with a woman.

Anna froze.

The woman's face-so familiar. She looked so much like Chloe. But younger. A red mole marked her forehead, a striking detail that made her stand out.

The woman's gaze softened with concern. "Are you alright? Do you need help?"

Help?

Anna wanted to scream yes, but before she could speak, Taylor's voice cut through the air like a whip. "Whitney, come here."

Anna's stomach churned. She saw the cold, threatening look in Taylor's eyes. He'd warned her. If she ran, he would punish the Sanders.

The woman stepped in front of Anna, protective like Chloe once was.

"Mrs. Bolton," Taylor called, his tone sharper now. Anna's heart ached.

She had seen Chloe die with her own eyes. How could she still hope for her?

Shaking, Anna whispered, "I don't need help."

She turned, every step heavy with the weight of her grief. She could

feel the woman's gaze following!?

full

her,

of sympathy, but Anna didn't have time to linger.

As she reached the car, Taylor slammed the door shut behind her, trapping her

inside. He leaned in close, his breath cold against her ear.

"Anna, I'm really angry now."
