My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

It was a bright and sunny day, and there were no clouds in the sky or wind in the trees.

Dustin got out of the car and took a deep breath. Only then did he relax a little.

He was back in Rivenesco.

The message that Wilhelm had left needed to be decoded, and that required some time. Once it was done, Dustin would rush back.

At this point, he also wanted to return to Rivenesco to check on Simone and her family.

It had been a long time since he had seen her, and he kind of missed her.

"Dustin, you're back!"

Simone's family all came to welcome him when they found out that he had returned.

"David, Monique, Simone, I'm back!" Dustin treated them the way he would his family and smiled warmly at them.

David and Monique asked after him, while Simone looked askance at Dustin. She looked a bit sad.

"You've gotten thinner," she said softly.

"Have I?" Dustin grinned.

Their eyes met, and the tension rose up between them.

Right then, three cars drove in. More of the Langley family members were back.

They all knew that Dustin was the King of Hades, so they treated him with great respect. The whole Langley family had come to greet Dustin.

Although Simone's branch of the family found this strange, the others managed to come up with some excuse.

According to Margot, David was currently the patriarch of the family. Since Dustin might become Simone's husband, they definitely had to treat him well.

"David, I need to talk to Dustin privately," Margot said.

David told everyone to step aside for a moment.

"What did you want to talk about?" Dustin did not like Margot at all.

"I made a mistake! Please, punish me!" Margot said in fear.

"What did you do this time?" Dustin frowned.

"Actually, the Langley family arranged a marriage for Simone when she was a baby," Margot said weakly.

"What?!" Dustin's eyebrows shot up. His demeanor was frightening and nearly sent Margot to her knees.

"What's this about?"

"A long time ago, the Langley family was close with one of the affluent families in Somerton. Simone was a really adorable child, and the patriarch of the Douglas family adored her. He promised a lot of great things in return for the Langley family, so we agreed to the proposal. David's side of the family doesn't

know about it." Margot's voice became softer the longer she spoke.

Dustin's face turned icy.

This family was truly horrible. They had not even asked for Simone's or her

parents' permission before agreeing to the marriage proposal.

If he had not appeared to change Simone's family situation, Margot and the others would have destroyed them.

It was only a marriage agreement. It was not a big enough deal to make Dustin worried.

The Douglas family was just one family from Somerton. Even if it was an elite family there, Dustin would definitely solve this issue.

"Marriage agreement? What marriage agreement?" David suddenly walked over to them in worry.

He had been standing nearby, so he had heard some of the conversation.

It was not a good idea to stall or bluff, so Dustin told him the truth.

"Mom, you've gone too far this time!" David was livid, but he could not do anything to an old lady.

"Don't worry, David. I'll handle this issue," Dustin said.

"It will be like the Langley family going against their word!" David said darkly.

He was a very honorable person, who did not work with loopholes like Dustin did.
