But Tyler didn't believe that she was unbothered. Assuming that she was just being spiteful, he quickly added, "Nad, don't put yourself through this."

Nadine didn't feel like continuing the conversation anymore. She got up and headed to her locker. As she slipped on her uniform, she flashed a smile at him.

"Let's not talk about this anymore, okay? I have to get back to work now. I don't want to dwell on the past anymore, so let's just forget it.

Nadine had no romantic feelings for Tyler six years ago, and she also felt the same now. It was better to be clear about it.

But Tyler grew anxious. He rushed over and grabbed her hand while she was locking her locker and questioned, "What do you mean, Nad?

"Are you saying that you'd rather stay with Brad, who doesn't love you and cheated on you with Jean, than be with me, who only has eyes for you?

"I missed the chance to confess to you six years ago, and I don't wanna miss it again six years later. Can't you just look at me and pity this old guy you've abandoned?

Tyler was thrilled when he heard that Nadine had proposed a divorce. Overwhelmed by glee, he couldn't even sleep for the entire night. He thought he'd stand a chance once Nadine divorced Brad.
