Chapter 447
Nadine couldn't help but think Brad had a few screws loose. She rolled her eyes and snorted, her expression filled with disdain. "Are you out of your mind, Brad Hamilton? I'm pretty sure anyone who's sane wouldn't be able to say something like that!"
When she was in Janctera City, she had already made her decision to divorce Brad and mentally prepared herself for it. If she wasn't serious about wanting the divorce, why would she have gone out of her way to avoid him?
If this stubborn bastard hadn't dragged his feet and refused to sign the divorce agreement, she wouldn't still be stuck in this mess. If she could win against Brad, she would've taken him on by now. Why should she be the one to cater to him?
"I made my stance crystal clear back in Janctera City. From the moment I posted our divorce agreement online, we were no longer husband and wife.
"As my ex-husband, you should be as good as dead instead of constantly popping up in front of me, reminding me of your existence. All you're doing is making me think you can't let go of me! Brad, could it be that you've fallen for me?"
Knowing full well how much he hated anything related to romance, she said it on purpose to get under his skin. If the weather in Chillnada hadn't been so bitterly cold, she wouldn't have even bothered to open her mouth-though she would've loved to spit in his face.
After six years of marriage, Nadine knew Brad all too well, and she knew just how to strike a nerve.
As soon as he heard the word "love", he froze and immediately let go of her hand. A faint blush crept onto his handsome face as he growled, "What the hell are you on about? I just don't want you to do anything to embarrass our family! Why do you always have so much to say?
"Until we're officially divorced, you're still my wife, the lady of the Hamilton family, yet here you are shamelessly flirting with another man! Have you ever thought about what this does to our family's reputation?"
It irked him to see her smiling so carefreely with Sebastian, but he couldn't come up with a valid reason to call her out on it. So, he had to settle for this flimsy excuse, even though he knew it didn't hold water.
Nadine hastily took two steps back, adopting a defensive stance as she coldly eyed Brad, who was towering over her. The thick winter clothing did little to conceal Brad's commanding presence and cold, aloof demeanor.

up on him, he tried to salvage their
broken relationship.
It was useless, though. It was as meaningless as wearing a winter coat in the summer or using a fan in the dead of winter-completely unnecessary and of no purpose. A broken heart couldn't be mended.
"Brad Hamilton, don't you dare lecture me about your family's reputation! We've been married for six years, and I've never spent a single penny of yours! But have you ever given me a shred of affection?
"I earned my own money, cooked my own meals, and bought my own clothes And when I was sick, I had to go to the hospital on my own You've never been a part of my life! Even though I was married, I've been living like a widow! noveldrama
"What have you contributed to our marriage? Have you ever loved me? Have you ever cared about Sean's education? Have you ever checked on me when I was sick? What good is a husband who does none of these things?
"Are you just around to keep the house from falling apart? Oh wait, you can't even protect the house because you're completely defenseless against your mistress! So, what have you actually brought to this marriage?"
What do you think?
