“You must be hungry. Let’s get something to eat first,” Elsa suggested, steering Rachel toward the buffet.

Rachel had barely taken a few bites when an alumnus approached, inquiring about Myrna’s condition.

Myrna’s sudden misfortune had become a topic of deep concern among them.

Before long, Elsa was swept away by others, leaving Rachel to quietly observe from the sidelines. She didn’t mind—being unnoticed suited her just fine.

And yet, from the way he spoke, it was clear he knew her well. Rachel put on a polite smile and said, “Just call me Rachel. And let’s not talk about work.”

She didn’t want to mention her position at White Group at a casual gathering like this.

However, the man grew even more enthusiastic. “How could I? You’ve accomplished so much—getting into White Group, becoming a manager at such a young age. I really admire you!”
