Chapter 1084
Chapter 1084:
Allison and Kellan exchanged a brief glance, both surprised. Allison had assumed that Fabian was asking her to switch companies, but he had thoughtfully considered her current position and was suggesting a consultant role instead.
The room buzzed with quiet envy from the other attendees.
“I hear Mr. Morgan already runs a jewelry company in Vrining, and positions there are nearly impossible to come by,” someone remarked. “I can’t believe he’s planning to open another jewelry company in Ontdale. And the consultant role? Typically, it would be reserved for true masters of the craft.”
“Ms. Clarke is still in her twenties, and yet she’s already receiving offers from industry leaders. Quite the accomplishment for someone so young,” another voice added.
These murmurs caused a wave of resentment to stir in Melany’s heart. So Allison had hidden her talents for so long, and now this!
Melany’s bitterness simmered as she reflected on how, despite her own lies and mistakes, Allison seemed to glide by unscathed. Were they not the same? Liars, in her eyes.
Why couldn’t Colton and Kellan see through it?
Tonight had been her grand plan—a scheme to secure Fabian’s partnership and humiliate Allison. But the tables had turned, and now, instead of triumph, she tasted defeat.
Allison, ever modest, responded, “Thank you so much for your kind offer. I’d be honored to contribute to jewelry design.” Kellan, ever the gentleman, took her hand in his.
“Allison and I would be delighted to have you visit Charisma Company whenever you like, Mr. Morgan.” Fabian beamed at the two.
“How wonderful! It’s been a pleasure meeting such promising young talent today.”
He held up the exquisite brooch, its gems glinting in the light.
“Ladies and gentlemen, there’s a saying that no general is without scars, much like this piece of jewelry once was—flawed and imperfect. But just like a battle-worn hero, it’s now been restored to something even more precious.”
With a soft chuckle, Fabian pinned the brooch to his chest, its radiant design now a symbol of the evening’s triumph.
“This is by far the best gift I’ve received this year,” he declared, his voice rich with gratitude as he surveyed the room. “And I’m thankful to each of you for bearing witness to its rebirth.”
The energy in the room shifted, becoming warmer and more celebratory. Guests whispered among themselves, admiring the brooch that had captured Fabian’s attention. Even the most renowned jewelry designers and craftsmen nodded in approval.
“Mr. Morgan is a lucky man. The technique used to set those tiny diamonds makes this piece even more valuable than the original!”
“Yes, the original brooch was exceptional, but now, with this intricate craftsmanship, it’s truly one of a kind.”
“I would love to have Ms. Clarke at my company; she’s truly a prodigy!”noveldrama
