Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 913

Seeing Xavier's reaction, Theodore let out another sigh but chose not to press further.

Matters of the heart couldn't be forced. Xavier needed to come to terms with it himself. All Theodore could do was offer his advice and hope that Xavier would see reason sooner rather than later.

After a moment of silence, Xavier raised what he was most worried about. "Are you really going to let Yvie use herself as bait to lure out Harvey? It's far too dangerous."

Theodore replied, "You know how stubborn she is. Once she's made up her mind, nothing can change it. Even if we object, she'll go ahead with it anyway."

Theodore's expression was etched with concern as he continued, "Besides, the catalyst in her system is accelerating its effects. If we delay this, I'm afraid her body won't hold out for much longer. As much as I hate this plan, drawing Harvey out now may be her best chance."

Xavier clenched his fists tightly at his sides, his knuckles turning white.

"I understand. No matter what happens, I'll make sure Yvie stays safe." Even if it

cost him his life, Xavier would protect her. Nothing would shake that resolve.

...

In the bedroom, the sound of running water echoed from the bathroom. Yvette

opened her laptop, her fingers moving swiftly across the keys.

As soon as she logged in, a message popped up on the screen.

"Ms. Murray, everything has been carried out as instructed. News of your departure from the Dark Organization base three days from now has already been leaked."

Yvette's lips curved into a smile, her eyes gleaming with an icy resolve.

Perfect. Now that the news was out, all they had to do was wait for their opponent to act.

After replying to the message, Yvette went to check the family group chat.

Sean: "Yvie, when are you coming back? I miss you so much!"

Ashton: "Yeah! I miss you too!"

Jacob: "Yvie, you've been abroad for so long this time. Did something difficult

come up? Mom and Dad are really worried about you. We all are."

lan: "Let us know if you're having trouble. We'll handle it for you!"

Adam: "No matter what, we've your back."

Reading their messages, Yvette felt a warm surge of affection. A soft smile appeared on her lips as she typed her reply.

"Nothing troubling has happened. I'll be back in a few days."

She had no intention of telling them about the side effects of the

catalyst. The last thing she was.ne?

`for them to worry.

Deciding that wasn't enough, Yvette picked up her phone and initiated a video call.

The call connected instantly, and she was greeted by Yara, Irwin, and the others.

"Hi, Yvie!"

"Hello!" Yvette replied gleefully.

"I miss you so much! You've been abroad for so long," Yara said.

She then nudged Irwin aside. Her tone was warm and gentle as she spoke to Yvette, but sharp and

dismissive toward her husband.

"Move! Can't you see I'm talking to her? Stop crowding the screen!"

Irwin replied, "But I want to talk to her too."

"You'll get your turn later. For now, go away! Turning back to the

screen, Yara's expression instel.nét

Stened into one of puretnoveldrama

softened into one of pure affection.

She asked, "Have you lost weight? You look thinner now."

Behind her, Irwin stood helplessly as he was ousted from his daughter's video

call.

If even Irwin couldn't get a proper

word in, the Murray brothers didn't stand a chance. They hovered in the background like sulking wolves, staring sadly at Yara who was

speaking with Yvette on the phone.

Although they were frustrated, they didn't dare complain. After all, the males in the Murray family held no authority.

Yara, of course, paid no mind to them and continued chatting happily with her precious daughter.

"Thank goodness Wilson is with you. It makes me feel a bit more at ease."

Jacob and the others clenched their jaws in unison. It's precisely because Wilson was with Yvette that they were not at ease!
