Chapter 272 The Social Sabrina
Alexander was a whirlwind of efficiency. By the time Allison made her way downstairs after a night's sleep, she found workers already installing an elevator, the study cleared out and being cleaned, and the furniture from upstairs being moved down.
Allison was floored. Felicity came over and guided her to the dining table for breakfast. "Breakfast is ready, Allison. Mr. Carter said he'll be down shortly!"
Allison nodded and started eating. After breakfast, she headed to the study on the first floor, took a look around, and then sketched out a blueprint. When Alexander came downstairs, she handed it to him. "I drew up a plan. Take a look. This room will be a nursery in the future, so we might as well arrange the space now to avoid redoing it after the baby is born."
Alexander nodded, clearly pleased with her work. "When you have time, design the third floor too. Make two nurseries, one for a boy and one for a girl."
Allison was taken aback and looked at Alexander. "Why two?"
Alexander grinned at her. "Better to be prepared. We're going to have kids eventually, and if possible, I'd like to have a few more. Let's just plan for two rooms now."
Allison rolled her eyes and gave him a playful kick. "You're getting ahead of yourself. Let's get married first, Mr. Carter!"
Allison smiled and went upstairs to change. She had to go to school today. Although the holidays were approaching, she was leading Dwight's project, and Teddy had been busy for over a month. It was time to relieve him.
When Allison came back downstairs, Alexander was waiting at the door. "Get in the car. I'll drive you to school."
Allison nodded and sat in the back seat. As soon as Alexander got in, he started looking at documents. Allison frowned and closed the folder, setting it aside. "It's not urgent. The light in the car is dim, and it's bad for your eyes!"
Alexander smiled at her and took her hand. "Alright, Allison. I'll listen to you."
James, in the driver's seat, felt relieved. Finally, someone could keep Alexander in check.
"Christmas is coming up. Is there anything you want?"
Allison thought for a moment. "An apple."
Alexander was surprised. "Just an apple?"
Allison nodded. "When I was a kid, everyone got an apple for Christmas."
However, while Allison always received regular apples, Yasmin got jeweled apples adorned with gemstones. Allison had been jealous as a child, but now she thought, eating an apple was just fine.
Intrigued, Alexander started searching for apples as soon as he got to the office. There were hundreds of different types and materials, making it hard to choose. When James came in, Alexander pulled him over to help. "Which one do you think is the nicest? I want to buy it for Allison as a Christmas gift."
James glanced at the steep prices, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Ms. Bennett said it doesn't need to be extravagant. How about a box of regular apples to eat?"
Alexander shot James a sidelong glance and smirked. "It's no surprise you don't have a girlfriend. Your emotional intelligence is seriously lacking. Do you have any idea how much chaos Liliana caused Victor one Christmas?"
For Victor, the holidays were a complete nightmare. The gifts had to be perfect- thoughtful and something Liliana would absolutely adore. They also had to look stunning. If they didn't meet her expectations, Victor could find himself sleeping on the couch for a month, thanks to Liliana's infamous temper.

So, Alexander thought that with just the apple theme, it would definitely be a challenge to pick something that would satisfy Allison.
He decided, "I'll just buy the most expensive ones. She can choose whichever she likes."
James's mouth twitched. Alexander's wealth certainly made him think differently, and those apples were really pricey!
Allison had no idea that her request for an apple had caused such a stir. She was busy with Teddy, conducting their first photonic test.
Allison said, "The precision isn't enough. We need to recalculate the data. There must be an error."
Teddy looked at the results, disappointed, and slumped over the table. "A month and a half of effort and still no breakthrough. Allison, if this succeeds, will I go gray from stress?"
Allison laughed at Teddy, whose hair was a mess and face unshaven. He didn't look like a member of the Carter family at all!
Allison said, "Even though we didn't succeed, we made progress. Go back to your dorm, take a shower, and change. I'll treat you to dinner tonight!"
Hearing about dinner, Teddy perked up. "Really? Can we have barbecue?"
Allison's eyes twinkled for a moment before she agreed. "I know a great barbecue place. The question is, do you dare?"

"Who do you think you're talking to? Just wait, I'll clean up and be ready to go!" Teddy ran off happily. Allison went to the teaching building to wait for Sabrina, who had called in the morning, asking Allison to join her for lunch in the cafeteria. Sabrina had a special fondness for cafeteria food.
After class, Sabrina rushed out and smiled when she saw Allison. "Allison, I haven't seen you in days. I missed you!"
Allison sighed and playfully pinched Sabrina's cheek. "Sabrina, your face is looking a bit rounder! You must have been enjoying your snacks a little too much. Starting tomorrow, you need to run around the yard every morning. And while you're at it, keep an eye on the surveillance cameras!"
Sabrina nodded and linked arms with Allison, heading to the cafeteria. Allison handed Sabrina her meal card. Sabrina ran up and down, and in fifteen minutes, she had three meals ready.noveldrama
Sabrina said, "Steak from the first floor, fried chicken from the second, and pasta from the fourth. Allison, I've tried everything in the cafeteria. I know exactly what's good!"
Allison laughed, looking at Sabrina. Who would have thought Sabrina had become a cafeteria connoisseur?
As they were eating, Sabrina noticed a long line at the ravioli counter. She dropped her utensils and ran over. "Mabel, are you overwhelmed? Let me help!"
Mabel responded, "Sabrina, if you could help, that would be great! My husband Orion is out getting supplies and hasn't returned. I can't keep up!"
Sabrina cheerfully put on an apron. "I'll handle the money. You go make the ravioli. We can't keep the students waiting!"
With that, Sabrina started working, her pleasant demeanor attracting even more customers.
Allison finished her meal. When Mabel Simpson's ravioli sold out, Sabrina returned. "Allison, sorry to keep you waiting!"
What do you think?
