The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2580

"We've heard about Mr. Frankton's feats, but they also said he's an old, portly man. Who could have known that he was this young and this handsome?"

Jada was absolutely content with everyone's flattery-helping these people was really the right call, even if it was just some flattery.

Frank then said, "Thank you, but I'm really just an average Joe-I'm not as great as you imagine."

Everyone smiled in wry amusement.

An average Joe?

An average Joe who could cure organ failure, demolish an entire building with a wave of his hand, and take over the Jaric family estate overnight, making hundreds of millions?

Laura approached Frank with her glass just then. "I should apologize to you, Mr. Frankton!"

Frank appeared surprised. "What are you saying, Dr. Layton?"

Laura scowled. "I'm not going to lie-I badmouthed you in the past... The way I see it, every person who is wealthy is wicked. I didn't think that someone like you really existed.

"Sorry about that, and I'm chugging this glass as punishment. You boys enjoy yourselves!"

Frank smiled in wry amusement, watching Laura chug her glass. "I'm nothing that amazing-I did all that just to be praised. You're right to say that I'm wicked, since I want both fame and fortune."

Laura smiled. "Can't agree with that even if you say so. For me, you're infinitely better than the rest of the wealthy."

Frank shrugged and raised his glass. "Alright, let's stop with the flattery. We're all here to have fun and not to get philosophical-that'd be boring. Drink up!"

As everyone else raised their glances, a loud yell could be heard nearby, followed by a rush of footsteps.

Frank got to his feet. "Go on drinking. I'll check it out!"

He turned and left just as he finished and found a woman in her forties standing in the hallway.

Her hair was disheveled and she was wearing rags for clothes. She tilted her head as she studied Frank, but before Frank moved up, she started yelling again.

At the same time, she kept stamping her feet, which was what Frank had heard just now.

"What's wrong?" Jada stepped out and was left curious as to why Frank just stood there after seeing the madwoman.

"She's something else!"

Frank smirked. "I could hear footsteps even from a distance, but I had no idea when she came!"

The madwoman smiled sinisterly just as Frank finished and entered another private room.

It was filled with burly, muscular youths in their twenties, obviously trainers from a nearby gym.

They were all yelling at the

madwoman to get out as soon as

she got in, but one of them stopped them. "She must be hungry, and she's@little nuts too. No harm¶n giving her some food-there's no reason to snap at her either!"

Then, stuffing a bowl full of food, the kind gym trainer gave it to her along with a

fifty dollar note. "Will this do?"

The madwoman shook her head.

Then, before the kind gym trainer could say a word, she knocked the bowl off his hand, snatched the fifty dollar note, and ate it!

The kind gym trainer was stunned,

but he soon recovered and snapped, "Are you crazy? I was giving you both the food and the money, but you can't even be grateful and almost attacked me!"

Just as he finished, the madwoman suddenly raised her hand and flicked him on the forehead.

Pow!

The gym trainer was sent flying, crashing into the wall behind and stayed stuck on it, unconscious.

Despite their fear, the other gym trainers charged at the madwoman, intent on revenge!
