The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2708

Frank yelled, "Tell me who your boss is, and I might spare your life! Otherwise, the glass shards on the door will be your doom."

That certainly showed the woman that Frank was being honest, and that she misjudged men!

Chuckling bitterly, she said, "I actually quite liked you, so I'd rather not speed you to your death. Know when to stop if you're really smart, kid."

Frank laughed coolly. "If I was going to stop, would I have come after you or Horace at all?

"Fear comes from the unknown, which is why people fear the dark and the paranormal. But when they emerge from it, they fear nothing!"

The woman gaped at Frank in disbelief, surprised that someone like him existed in such a quiet corner in this world.

Terrifying, yet not patient-his existence was way beyond her reach.

But when it came to men like him, she was still all too happy to help him die for on reason!

"Fine, I'll take you to her-just don't be disappointed in the gap of power. Try to keep your pride as you do now."

Frank smiled but said nothing.

A hag in a gown sat in the middle of an abandoned temple, atop the lotus seat from which a deity's statue had been removed.

Before her, many devotees were sitting and chanting scriptures diligently.

With the smoke swirling around them, one would almost think that they were up in the clouds, transcending beyond mortality.

That was when someone started clapping loudly, and everyone turned to find them standing there and smirking. "What year is it, and you kids are still doing this crap? That's just disgusting."

The hag bellowed, "Who are you, daring to to interfere with this prayer?"

"Prayer, you say?"

Frank frowned, looking perplexed. "How brazen can you be, claiming that you're praying? This is plain slander!"

The hag glanced at the woman with Frank and realized what he was doing here.

"It's true that I cooperate with certain wealthy individuals for financial

support, helping them get rid of certain bothersome elements, but it

seems this was a mistake.

"However, even if most of you can't handle someone like you... If I had to make a

guess, you've reached the Ascendant rank, haven't you?"

The hag studied Frank from head to toe, observing his strong physique and acknowledging him as a prodigy.

It was a shame that he had

encountered her at his young age-he might really have stood chance if he had trained for another fifty years.

Frank ignored her, however, and bellowed at the devotees, "Get out!" Amusingly, the seemingly devoted followers suddenly perked up and left.

In less than a minute, it was just the hag, the assassin, and Frank in the hall.

Blanching, the hag shrieked, "Get back here, all of you!"

However, no matter how she yelled, none of them seemed to hear her!noveldrama

Frank chuckled. "Did you think that people would still believe your bullshit in the twenty-first century? Only an idiot would come to listen to your crap if it wasn't for the goodies you promised. I mean, what's better than staying at home these days?"

The hag sighed, but her eyes bulged as she soon glared at Frank. "So what?! You

won't win against me even without them around!"
