The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

"His Luna" she whispers, her face void of emotions for she wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing anymore. The thought of being Luna sends old memories jumping into her mind causing her to remember Adam and what he had asked her in the woods.

"You want a Luna, right? Adam Hawthorn" she mumbled

The thought of being subjected to Adams luna sends shivers down her spine, her heart beats faster, and she molds her fist tightly. Adam needed to pay for what he did to her so she could live again, if Adam and Olivia don't get the taste of their own medicine then Alexandra will never be the same person ever again.

Deep in thought, she didn't realize the car was already out of the mud and the mechanic was now changing the tires. Nathaniel who has been gazing at her all along walks towards her and holds her hand causing her to jump.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes" she nods affirmatively

"Are you sure? You suddenly look pale"

"Trust me I'm fine"

"I don't believe you"

"Nathaniel" she whispers

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear leans closer. "You are my mate so whatever troubles you also troubles me and devours my heart as well"

"Devour" she laughs

"Yes, I can tell you thought of something, what is it?"

"Nothing just something irrelevant"

"Hope it has nothing to with visiting my pack"

"You're unbelievable, first you care and next is your pack"

"Hey just shooting my shot at every chance"

Gazing into his eyes, he gazes back. "Why do you want to take me to your pack?"

"Isn't that what I'm supposed to do? Should there be a reason?"noveldrama

"Not really but I was hoping you had one"

"Like which one"

"I don't know" she licks her lips. "I was expecting too much, let's leave it"

"What were you expecting?"

"Just this and that"

"I don't understand"

"Leave it Nathaniel, is something silly beside love isn't the ultimate anymore? Is just a joke"

"What are you saying? No matter what, love is something beautiful, people who fall in love end up enjoying their marriage and their time together with their mate"

"What of people who don't fall in love?"

Nathaniel gawks at her for a moment in silence wondering why she had asked him.

"I only admire one girl"

"And who is she?"

"You" he whispers

Running her hand through her hair, Alexandra smiles. She had thought he has forgotten about that kiss since they never spoke about it.

"Did you like it?"

"Like what?" She pretends to be ignorant of his question.

"You know what I'm talking about Alexandra, why do you love to play silly mind games with me"

Alexandra closes the space between them. "I love to see the look on your face so it makes it fun" her eyes were on his lips for a moment and she looks into his eyes.

"Did you enjoy the kiss?"

"You are a charmer"

"That's not an answer"

"What sort of answer do you want?"

"A simple yes or no will do"

"I don't do simplicity"

"You do simplicity, remember, is what you told me"

Alexandra scoffs. "Do you record all my words because is starting to get annoying"

"Are you mad at me?"

"No just hate it when you use my words against me"

"Did you enjoy the kiss"

"Why did you kiss me that day?"

"When I saw you there and perceived that aphrodisiac, all I wanted to do was kiss you but I had to control myself till I couldn't and then I did the only thing that was sounding in my head, kiss her so I took my shot"

"I don't know what you are talking about" she glances around, blinking her eyes.

"It won't kill you to say you did enjoy the kiss or you didn't"

"If I say that I didn't enjoy it, won't you be mad?"

"I would but at least I will try to improve for the next time"

"I would love to kiss you every day of my life, you are my mate and I enjoy kissing

you, exploring the corners of your mouth"

Alexandra licks her dry lips. "Please stop saying that" she whispers

"Why? Don't you want to kiss me as well?"

"Of course, I want to kiss you over and over again till I lose count so can we

please drop this"

Nathaniel smiles, he knew she wasn't shy but couldn't tell why she wanted to end their conversation.

"Do you want to kiss me now?"

Alexandra's eyes widened. "Are you crazy? Why would I kiss you now?"

"Why won't you?"

"We are on the road and there is an audience standing over there repairing our

car"

Nathaniel laughs.

"What so funny?"

"You just said our car now"

Alexandra rolls her eyes. "You're unbelievable"

"You use that line a lot"

"Only when it comes to you"

"You must like me a lot then"

"Don't get ahead of yourself, you are my mate"

"The one and only"

"Is it an achievement?"

"Of course"

"Will you now come with me to my pack"

"Must you always ruin the moment" she walks away, walking past him and moving

toward the mechanic.

"Everything alright sir?"

"Have you lovebirds finished goofing around?"

"We weren't goofing around. Just talking"

The man gives her a suspicious look. "I could see that" he raises his face,

meeting Nathaniel's gaze as he walks over.

"Have you changed the tires?"

"Yes, you will need to fill your tank once you hit the road"

"Yes we will do"

"Everything is fixed now Alpha, you can hit the road"

"Great!" Alexandra exclaims

"We will head back to the inn so I can get my stuff and then we will hit the road"

Alexandra gives Nathaniel a suspicious look and wonders what was running through his mind.

"Don't worry I won't waste time"

"You better not"

"The inn will love to have the both of you again" The mechanic states.

"Some other time sir" Alexandra smiles

The man nods affirmatively and leaves. Nathaniel quickly turns his gaze at her.

"Why were you giving me that look?"

"What look?"

"The suspicious look"

"I didn't give you any look" she states walking away, he smiles and chases after

her.

While Nathaniel goes to get his suitcase at the inn, Alexandra leans against the door, glancing around the lonely road as she waits for Nathaniel. Catching a glimpse of the man earlier in the inn taking a walk with a little girl, she stares at them and they lock eyes with her. Uncertain of what to say, a feeling of guilt engulfs her body and she realizes the man was telling the truth all along. Waving at them, the man nods his head and looks away and Alexandra moves towards them, catching up to them as they attempt to cross to the other lane.

"Hey, remember me" she tucks her hair behind her ear.

"I remember you, you were the rude lady earlier"

"I'm sorry about the whole thing, didn't think you were telling the truth but now -"

"You believe me" The man cuts her off quickly

"Exactly"

"What changed your mind?"

"Well I realized that he didn't put you through anything and this person doesn't

even know you"

"Good to know"

Alexandra glances at the little girl whose gaze was intently fixed on her, firm and

unblinking.

"Is this your little girl?"

"Yes it is"

"She is beautiful. Hi, I'm Alexandra"

The girl hides behind her father's back and Alexandra frowns.

"Did I startle you?"

"No" The girl whispers

"Then what's the problem?"

"I'm shy since you are pretty"

Bewildered, Alexandra smiles. "You are pretty too"

"Will I be pretty as you are if I ever grow up?"

"What do you mean if you ever grow up, of course, you will grow up"

"She's sick and she's human. She came to me one morning at my doorstep and I

said to myself that I had to adopt her" The man states

"I'm so sorry to hear that"

"Don't worry I will get to live for many years so I can watch the moon"

Alexandra's eyes widened. "You love to watch the moon"

"And the beautiful stars and all the lovely flowers at night"

Alexandra smiles, she could see her old self in the little girl and although she

wasn't that person anymore, she wanted the little girl to be happy and get to play around with kids her age.

"I'm sure you live more years so you can stop being daddy's girl all the time"

The girl frowns. "If I'm not daddy's girl whose little girl will I be?"

"You will be a big girl then"

The girl smiles and her eyes sparkle "I love to be a big girl someday"

"Then eat lots of vegetables and drink lots of milk"

"I hate veggies, I love to eat meat like dad eats those red -"

The little girl chokes on her words as her father covers her mouth causing

Alexandra to laugh.

"It was nice seeing you again sir" she licks her lips.

"You too. Are you leaving?"

"Yes, I'm just waiting for someone who should be back any moment from now"

"Is he your husband?" The little girl asks

"Not yet, he's my mate"

The little girl smiles. "I hope I get a mate someday too"

Alexandra laughs remembering when her eyes sparkled when she first heard

about the werewolf mate.

"I'm sure you will"

"We will leave you now Alexandra, I hope we will see you someday" The man states, and Alexandra engulfs the little girl tightly for a moment, placing a soft kiss

on her forehead, she walks away, moving back to the car, leans against the car,

staring into space as a lot of things through her mind.

"What a cute little girl"

She runs her hand through her hand, looking around.

"Nathaniel where are you?" She groans lying in the car.

Closing her eyes, the warm breeze engulfs her body, tiny goosebumps crawl up

her skin.

"Did you miss me?" A familiar voice sound in her ear and Alexandra quickly opens her eyes, amazed.

"You're here"

"In the flesh"

Clearing her throat blinks her eyes, and stands up, tucking her hair behind her

ear.

"What kept you that long?"

"Your smile" winking at her, Nathaniel opens the door and Alexandra rolls her

eyes stepping inside, and he joins her speeding into the road.

Alexandra gazes out the window, biting on her lower lips, Nathaniel glances at her

while still looking at the road.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing"

"You're lying" He speeds up and Alexandra glances at him for a moment, dropping

her gaze looks out the window.

"You're thinking about him right?"
