Chapter 417 Be My Girlfriend
Sophia was sweating profusely from the pain, but she knew the hospital was far away, and the car wouldn't start.
Enduring the severe pain, she said, "Alexander, I'm fine. I'll be okay in a while."
Alexander hurriedly carried her, panting as he said, "Appendicitis can be life- threatening if it gets serious. Don't worry, I've already contacted the nearest hospital for an ambulance. They'll meet us at the closest exit."
Sophia couldn't think about anything else; her stomach was hurting more and more. She clutched Alexander's shirt tightly, sweat dripping from her forehead.
Seeing Sophia in this state, Alexander's brow furrowed deeply.
He gently reassured her, "Don't be afraid. You'll just need a minimally invasive surgery at the hospital."
He carried Sophia for over twenty minutes before reaching the nearest exit.
Medical personnel immediately rushed over with a stretcher.
Soon, Sophia was wheeled into the emergency room.
After an examination, it was confirmed to be acute appendicitis, and she needed a minimally invasive surgery.
Hearing about the surgery, Sophia instinctively grabbed Alexander's arm, her eyes reddening as she looked at him.
Her voice trembled, "Alexander, can I not have the surgery?"
Alexander gently stroked her cheek and softly asked, "Are you scared?"
Sophia shook her head, "I just don't want to have a scar."
"Don't worry, the scar will be small and can be removed with laser treatment later. It won't affect your beauty. Besides, I don't mind it. What are you afraid of? Be good, I'll always be by your side."
A few words calmed Sophia's previously tense heart.
She slowly let go of Alexander and cooperated with the surgical treatment.
When she opened her eyes again, the surgery was already done.
She lay on the hospital bed, and Alexander was talking to the attending doctor.
Seeing her awake, the doctor smiled and asked, "How are you feeling?"
Sophia nodded slightly, "I don't feel anything yet."
"It will hurt a bit once the anesthesia wears off, but I added some painkillers to the IV, so it won't be too bad."
The doctor glanced at Alexander and then said, "I was worried that if it hurt too much, your boyfriend would be heartbroken. You don't know how nervous he was during your surgery. As a doctor, he shouldn't have reacted that way unless the person is very important to him.
Miss, it's hard to find a man who cares for a woman so much these days. You should cherish him."
After saying that, she gave Alexander a few more instructions and then left.
Alexander sat on the chair, holding Sophia's small hand tightly, a roguish smile on his lips.
"Did you hear that? It's hard to find a man who cares for a woman as much as I do. You should cherish me."
Sophia blinked a few times, her voice hoarse, "When I get out of the hospital, I'll treat you to a meal."
Alexander chuckled, "Sophia, I carried you so far, and you just want to treat me to a meal?"
"Then I'll buy you a piece of clothing."
"Trying to repay this favor with material things? No way. I don't want those. There's only one way you can repay me: be my girlfriend."
Alexander spoke with a mix of roguishness and deep affection, his gaze intense as he looked at Sophia.
He leaned over Sophia, his flushed lips almost touching her face.
His hot breath made her scalp tingle.
She couldn't help but clutch the blanket, turning her face away, and said coldly, "No way."
Alexander looked down at her, a mischievous smile on his lips, "If you repay me with your body, I might consider it."
"Mr. Cross, you've been practicing medicine for years and saved countless people. Do you make this demand of all of them?"
One sentence left Alexander speechless.
He pinched Sophia's nose in frustration, "You're so heartless. I carried you such a long
way, my arms are about to break, and you don't have a bit of gratitude."
"I said I could treat you to a meal and give you a gift, but Mr. Cross, your ambitions are
too big. I can't agree to your demands."
"Fine, then a meal and a gift. That should be enough, right?"
Sophia silently nodded and stopped talking.
Alexander looked at her pale face, feeling a bit heartbroken, "I won't tease you anymore. Get some rest."
He reached out and patted Sophia's head, then tucked her in.
Seeing him not so close anymore, Sophia breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Give me my phone. I want to call Betsy."
Alexander raised an eyebrow at her, "You want to call her to come over and then kick me out, right? Sophia, I know what you're up to.
You avoided me on the show, and now you don't want me to take care of you when you're sick. Do you really dislike me that much?
We were a couple for a while, how can you be so heartless?"

"Mr. Cross, you're overthinking. We weren't a couple; at most, we were fake dating. To put it nicely, it was acting."
Alexander laughed in exasperation, "Fine, then I beg you, let me be your bed partner. I'll make sure you're well taken care of, and always feeling loved. Considering we've known each other for years, I'll give you a 10% discount. How about that?"
Sophia sneered, "Sorry, I'm not interested in someone like you right now. I told you, I like men who are older than me now. You're outdated."
Hearing this, Alexander felt a pang in his heart.
Now, Sophia and Dylan were a popular pair online, and many people wanted them to be together.
Alexander ground his molars in frustration, "Sophia, you like younger, innocent, and obedient ones, right? I can do that too."noveldrama
After saying that, he instantly changed his expression and demeanor.
Just a moment ago, he was roguish and unruly, but now his face was sincere and a bit
cute.
His eyes seemed to be filled with starlight, deep and affectionate.
He gently stroked Sophia's cheek, his voice tender and lingering.
"Sophia, did the surgery hurt? It broke my heart. I thought I'd never see you again."
After saying that, Alexander, like a large dog seeking affection, nuzzled into Sophia's
arms.
As he nuzzled, he inadvertently bit Sophia's soft chest.
The intense stimulation and stark contrast left Sophia momentarily stunned.
What couldn't this bastard do?
She pushed Alexander, "Alexander, don't push your luck."
Alexander slowly raised his head, looking at her with a pitiful expression, "Sophia, I
didn't."
What do you think?
