"Kendall, do you know the CEO of Duscia Corporation?" Amadeus asked when he saw what was going on.

Kendall put on a pained grimace.

Of course, he knew the CEO of Duscia Corporation.

Kendall had never expected that Dustin would be the CEO of Duscia Corporation. But what could he do about that?

Dustin had utterly humiliated him. Yet, Dustin was also so far above him that there was no way Kendall could get anywhere close. With one word, Dustin had easily brought disaster to the Dhillon family.

All the things that Kendall took pride in were nothing to Dustin, and the Dhillon family was powerless against him.

Kendall felt only devastation within him. He could not understand how the fool he had insulted without a thought had become the powerful CEO of Duscia Corporation.

He was pretty sure that no one in Hattan would ever imagine that Dustin was the CEO of Duscia Corporation. They all thought that it was an important member of the Pierce family.

"Duscia... Duscia..." Kendall muttered. For some reason, the name was stuck in his mind, but he did not know why.

Patricia's childhood nickname was Tricia.

It was such an obvious clue, but no one had considered that Duscia had anything

to do with Dustin and Patricia. That was because everyone thought that it was impossible and was not willing to consider it as a possibility.

"Kendall, do you know him?" Amadeus asked again.

Even Amadeus was surprised that the CEO of Duscia Corporation was a mere young man.

"I know him." Kendall sighed.

"It's good that you know him." Amadeus looked delighted. If Kendall knew the CEO, then it would be easier for him to beg for mercy.

Kendall looked dejected.

There was nothing good about this.

It was because Dustin knew them, and he wanted to move against the Dhillon family.

Ever since he found out about who Dustin was, Kendall had given up on the idea of asking for mercy.

There was no way Dustin would let their family go when he was so vengeful.

"Sir, I am the patriarch of the Dhillon family. I came here with my son and some generous gifts to apologize. How have we offended you and angered you so much?" Amadeus did his best to set aside his pride and sound polite.

Even though he was speaking to someone much younger than him, he did not dare to show anything but the greatest respect.

It was clear to him that Dustin was very capable and powerful.

"How you have offended me..." Dustin smirked playfully. "Just ask your son. He knows."

Amadeus looked at Kendall in confusion.

"Dad, he's the sole survivor of the Fox family that the Yeager family kicked out," Kendall said softly.

"What?" Amadeus was taken aback, and his eyes widened in realization.

He had heard about Dustin. People said that Dustin was a useless piece of trash.

The important bit was that Amadeus knew Kendall had always had eyes for Patricia. That was why he had it out for Dustin and had used some underhanded tactics against the latter.

Distantly, he slowly understood what was going on.

This was Dustin's revenge.

For a moment, Amadeus was both shocked and enraged.

He had long ago warned Kendall against being too brazen. He had told him that

he would get himself into trouble one day if he inevitably offended someone he could not afford to.

He had indeed done so.

It was only because he thought that no one in Hattan could really do anything to Kendall that Amadeus was so lax with Kendall. No one could have imagined that Dustin, who everyone despised, would be so powerful.

“Kendall, shouldn't you be apologizing to Mr. Fox?" Amadeus rebuked.

There was nothing else for it. They would have to do whatever they could to smooth things over.

The Dhillon family was on its last legs. If this went on, they would be completely done for.

Amadeus could not stand by and watch as his family's business was destroyed. Kendall let out a bitter laugh.

Was there any point in apologizing?

If it helped, Kendall would readily apologize to Dustin.

After all, he had given up completely.

"Kendall, why are you daydreaming? Can't you let your pride go? Don't you see how bad things are for the Dhillon family right now?

Kendall faced Dustin and forced himself into a bow.

"Mr. Fox, I was wrong about everything. I sincerely apologize to you. Would you please show the Dhillon family some mercy?" Kendall begged piteously.

"Mr. Fox, my son was foolish. The Dhillon family is willing to accept the blame for it all. If you accept our apology, we will do everything in our powe to make things up to you. We only hope that you will give the Dhillon family a chance." Amadeus bowed and begged. noveldrama

"Mr. Dhillon, your son was hardly foolish," Dustin said flatly with an indifferent expression.
