"It doesn't matter what he was," Amadeus said quickly. "As long as you're willing

to let the Dhillon family off, we will punish Kendall very severely. However he might have treated you before, we'll make sure he suffers the same!"

Dustin shook his head.

"It's easy to talk big. Why don't you ask your son what he's done?"

Amadeus frowned.

Amadeus thought that Kendall must have insulted or humiliated Dustin at worst. That was not too bad.

"What did you do, brat? Tell me!" Amadeus roared.

"I... tried to kill him, but I failed," Kendall said with his head bowed.

"What?!" Amadeus was appalled. He never thought that Kendall would go that far.

This was a huge deal. How were they supposed to settle it?

This was especially true since Dustin was so much more powerful. At this point, the ones who were in an impossible situation were them.

Amadeus felt very regretful. He knew that he should have been stricter with Kendall. If he had been, things would never have gotten this far.

It was bad enough that Kendall tried to kill Dustin. The worst part was that he had failed in doing so. Plus, Dustin was taking his revenge, so what were they supposed to do about it?

"You brat! Get on your knees!" Amadeus braced himself and kicked Kendall's leg. Kendall stumbled to his knees.

"Mr. Fox, I never imagined that this brat would be so audacious! This is all my fault. I did not discipline him well enough. We will punish him severely once he is home and teach him a lesson he will never forget.

"On top of that, the Dhillon family is willing to give you half of our assets. We only hope that you will show us some mercy and let us off," said Amadeus and bowed. He begged Dustin.

Dustin only watched them icily.

On the floor, Kendall looked pitiful.

He had never imagined that he would end up so wretched. He was on his knees before the man he hated the most.

"Dustin, I can prostrate myself before you in apology. You can take everything out on me. At this point, there's nothing I can say to deny what I've done. I only hope that you will give the Dhillon family a chance. I will take responsibility for it all." Kendall looked up at Dustin.

He had accepted his fate. He did not have what it took to go against Dustin.

"You weren't like this before, Kendall. You were so BOLD," Dustin SAID calmly.

"I understand that there's no use in going against someone more powerful." With his head held high, Kendall looked like he really had a spine of steel.noveldrama

Dustin found this all very funny.

Kendall had done whatever he liked because he knew he had the Dhillon family's power behind him. Yet he was making himself out to be like David going against Goliath.

In reality, the Dhillon family had practically been destroyed without having any chance of fighting back. All

this was done with just some pressure from Duscia Corporation.

Kendall looked furious.

"Mr. Fox, you can't! Let's talk this out!" Amadeus shouted anxiously.

"There's nothing to talk about!" Dustin yelled darkly. Then, he got up and left.

Amadeus tried to beg further, and apologies slipped from his tongue. Yet, Adrian blocked his way so that he could not get close to Dustin.

"Dustin, I've gotten on my knees to apologize to you. What more do you want before you'll let the Dhillon family off?!" Kendall roared angrily.

Dustin shot him a glare.

"Your apology is worth nothing." After saying that, Dustin left the office.

Kendall was even more outraged.

"You should get out," Adrian said placidly. Then, he, too, walked out of the office.

Amadeus was devastated. His expression was sorrowful.

He then looked at the kneeling Kendall in a rage.

"It's all your fault, you brat! You've ruined the Dhillon family!" Amadeus suddenly kicked Kendall and sent him falling flat to the floor.

"I warned you before, but you never listen! You rebellious wretch! What are you good for but being arrogant?"

As Kendall got off the floor. His gaze burned with resentment.

"You're a ruthless one, Dustin. Good on you," he muttered.

"You're the one who forced me into a corner. I already got on my knees to apologize to you, but you refuse to stop. You'll regret this!"

Kendall smiled sinisterly.
