The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 300 Celebrating New Year's Eve Together

When Alexander got home, Allison and the gang were still out.

"Where's Allison? Still snoozing?" he asked, glancing around.

Whenever Alexander came home, he always looked for Allison first.

"Mia's on break, so they went shopping. I think... they're probably getting you a New Year's gift!" Jessa replied with a grin.

This was something Alexander hadn't expected. If he thought about it, this would be the first gift Allison had ever given him.

Jessa noticed Alexander's expression and laughed. "What, are you excited about Allison's first gift for you?"

Alexander nodded. "Of course! Her gift definitely won't disappoint me!"

Jessa sighed. "I didn't realize you were such a romantic!"

Alexander laughed as he went upstairs to change. Just before dinner, Allison and Mia came back, bringing the cold air with them. Alexander immediately pulled Allison into his arms. "Why didn't you wear more? What if you catch a cold?"

Allison shook her head and happily wrapped her arms around Alexander's neck, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "It's fine, I'm not cold. We drove everywhere, so it wasn't bad!"

Alexander smiled, holding Allison's hand as they went to wash up. The New Year's Eve dinner was already set and looked delicious.

"Where's Teddy? Why isn't he back yet?" Aiden asked, a bit annoyed.

Jessa smiled and reassured him, "Don't worry, he'll be here soon!"

Just as she finished speaking, Teddy ran in from outside, followed by Griffin.

Jessa was a bit surprised and walked over to Griffin, noticing he had lost quite a bit of weight. "Why have you lost so much weight?"

Griffin replied, "Without you around, I haven't been eating or sleeping well. Of course, I'd lose weight."

Jessa rolled her eyes at him. This guy was always so unserious. "I have a flight tomorrow afternoon. There's some work I need to wrap up over there, but I'll be back in about two weeks. Then I'll come straight to you!"

"Alright!" Griffin was overjoyed. The past two months in another state had been tough on him, being all alone.

The family gathered around, and everyone had a drink. Allison wanted to join in, but Alexander refused. "You're still recovering. No way!"

Allison obediently drank her juice. The food was so good that she ended up eating an extra bowl of rice, which made Alexander very happy.

After dinner, Mia and Hunter went off to have some fun. Allison didn't like crowded places, so Alexander took her to the rooftop of the tallest building in Skycrest to watch the fireworks.

To their surprise, the tallest building in Skycrest was the Carter Group's headquarters, which left Allison speechless.

Alexander said, "Everyone else is at the square watching the fireworks. It's too crowded and cold out there. This is the perfect spot!"

Allison didn't mind. She held Alexander's hand as they took the elevator up. The CEO's private elevator went straight to the rooftop, which had been set up as a playground. Allison was amazed. "Why is it a playground?"

Alexander wrapped his arm around Allison's waist and smiled. "Because in my eyes, you'll always be my little princess!"

Allison laughed and kissed Alexander. He held the back of her head and deepened the kiss as they fell onto the couch. The kiss grew more intense until Allison couldn't breathe, and Alexander finally pulled away.

"Feeling a bit uncomfortable, Alexander?" Allison teased, a mischievous glint in her eye.

"Allison, don't push your luck!" Alexander shot back, his voice a mix of frustration and amusement.

With that, Alexander got up and headed to the bathroom. Allison lay on the couch, watching his awkward retreating figure, laughing even harder.

She got up to explore the playground equipment, finding everything, from the seesaw to the slide, was adult-sized.

When Alexander came out and saw her, he laughed and joined her. After playing for a while, they cuddled together, watching the countdown on a distant screen. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1!"

As the fireworks lit up the sky, Alexander leaned down and whispered, "Happy New Year, Allison!"

Allison looked up at Alexander, pulled a box from her pocket, and handed it to him. "Happy New Year, Alexander! This is your gift!"

Alexander opened the box, surprised to see a bracelet inside. "How did you get this?" The bracelet was beautifully crafted, each bead meticulously carved.noveldrama

Allison replied, "It took me an afternoon to carve it, and I braided the string myself. Do you like it?"

Alexander nodded, carefully putting it on his wrist. "I love it. This is the most precious gift I've ever received!"

Allison beamed. "This is the first time I've given a gift to a man. Alexander, we have a long future ahead!"

By the time they got home, it was late, and Allison was hungry. Alexander went to the kitchen to make pasta. Allison wanted to help, but Alexander pushed her onto the couch. "Take a break. It'll be ready soon!"

Allison checked her phone and saw Mia's social media post, showing her and Hunter at the bustling square. She also received a message from Carl, wishing her a happy new year and transferring ten million dollars. Allison smiled and called him. "Happy New Year!"

Carl answered with a laugh. "Finally remembered me?"

Allison responded, "Carl, you'll always have a special place in my heart. You're my most important family."

Carl, holding a glass of red wine, felt his heart warm like the fireworks outside. "I heard you need help with your research. Can I join you?"

Allison replied, "Of course! I'd love to have you. Sabrina and the others went home for the holidays, so I'm short-handed. How can I thank you?"

Carl swirled his wine and smiled. "Make me a bracelet too. I can't let Alexander outdo me!"

Allison chuckled. Do men really like to compete this much? "Alright, I promise!"

After hanging up, Alexander came out with the pasta. Allison eagerly grabbed a bowl. "Slow down, it's hot!"

Allison said, "But I'm so hungry!"

Alexander sighed and blew on the pasta to cool it down before giving it to Allison. Watching her eat so heartily filled him with satisfaction.

Alexander asked, "Who were you talking to just now?"

Allison replied, "Carl. He just transferred ten million dollars to me."

Alexander's grip on his fork tightened. Carl was always so calculating.

Allison continued, "He also asked for a bracelet. How did he know I gave you one?"

Alexander's eyes darkened. Not only was Carl calculating, but he was also spying on them. This couldn't be taken lightly.

Alexander inquired, "Are you going to make him one?"

Allison nodded. "I promised him. But Carl's country's aesthetics are different from ours. I'm not sure what design would be best."
