The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 301 No More Dad

Alexander shot a calm look at Allison. "How about a skull bracelet?"

Allison's eyes went wide. "Are you serious? Who'd wear a bracelet made of skulls?"

But then, an idea struck her. She dashed upstairs and came back with some paper, sketching like crazy. Before long, she had a design for a skull-themed bracelet.

"Alexander, you're a genius!" Allison exclaimed. "Carl's family crest has a skull. This is perfect."

Alexander sighed. Had he just outsmarted himself?

Allison kept sketching, whipping up three more designs in no time. Alexander glanced

at them: men's clothing, a crest, and cufflinks.

"Do you like them? They're for you!" Allison asked.

Alexander was taken aback by the unique crest on the designs. "What's this?"

"It's a dragon," Allison explained. "From now on, this will be your personal crest. Anything I design, whether it's clothes or accessories, will have this crest. How about that?"

Feeling incredibly fond of her, Alexander kissed Allison on the cheek. "I have mine, but what about yours?"

Allison tilted her head, then drew a new crest beneath Alexander's-a playful little lion. "Why a little lion?" Alexander asked.

Allison suddenly mimicked a lion, showing her small canines. "Doesn't this look like a little lion?"

It did, but at that moment, Alexander wanted to devour this little lion. Instead, he held Allison's fist and kissed her deeply. Allison wrapped her arms around Alexander's neck, deepening the kiss.noveldrama

Their passionate moment was interrupted by the sound of shattering glass. They quickly pulled apart. Alexander saw who it was and immediately pulled Allison into a tight embrace.

"Teddy, it's the middle of the night. You scared us!" Alexander said.

"Alexander, it's not my fault. Who told you to be all lovey-dovey here at this hour? Can't you go to your room?" Teddy replied.

Allison laughed in Alexander's arms. He took off his jacket, wrapped Allison in it, and carried her away. Teddy shook his head, grabbed a broom, cleaned up the mess, and headed to the kitchen for a drink.

Back in their room, Allison was still laughing on the bed. After showering and changing, Alexander found her asleep, wrapped in the blanket. He dried his hair, tossed the towel aside, and kissed Allison's cheek. "Goodnight, my little lion."

To his surprise, Allison mumbled back, "Goodnight, big bad wolf."

Alexander chuckled, holding Allison tightly as they fell asleep.

Early the next morning, Alexander's phone rang. After taking the call, he quickly got dressed. Allison woke up at seven, feeling refreshed despite only five hours of sleep. Surprised not to see Alexander, she answered her ringing phone without checking the caller ID. The news left her stunned.

Liliana found Allison sitting at the dining table, looking completely out of it. "Allison, what's going on?"

Allison's phone slipped from her hand, hitting the floor. Alarmed, Liliana rushed over and hugged her. "Allison, what happened? Talk to me!"

Allison leaned into Liliana, her voice barely a whisper. "Liliana, my dad... he's gone. He jumped. I don't have a dad anymore."

Liliana held her tighter, speechless. Victor, noticing the urgency in Liliana's eyes, quickly called Alexander.

Alexander was already on his way home. "Victor, keep an eye on Allison. Don't let her leave. I'll be there soon."

Victor tried to comfort Allison. "Alexander's on his way. He'll be here soon. I'm really sorry for your loss."

Allison just shook her head, silent and still. Liliana was frantic but felt helpless.

Griffin and Jessa had left early that morning, leaving only Liliana, Victor, and Aiden at home. Aiden, upon hearing the news, spoke to Victor. "The funeral needs to be well- organized. The Bennett family is prominent, and it should reflect that. Make sure everyone knows Preston was Alexander's father-in-law. His honor is our honor."

Victor said, "Don't worry, Dad. Alexander and I will take care of everything."

Once composed, Allison made a call. "Preston is dead. I'm arranging the funeral. Are you coming back?"

Blair's response was immediate, despite the sound of something breaking in the background. "I'll come, but Yasmin can't. She's about to give birth."

Allison responded, "I understand. Hayden is too ill to travel. Cade will come."

Within half an hour, Allison had arranged everything, including the burial site. The Carter family watched, impressed by her decisiveness.

"Allison, can I help with anything?" Liliana asked.

Allison shook her head. "Liliana, I'm going to change."

Liliana nodded, watching Allison go upstairs and return dressed in black. She couldn't help but tear up. "Allison, why..."

Victor said, "Don't worry. Allison can handle this. And Alexander is here."

Liliana nodded, then turned to Victor. "Go help them. They're young and might need guidance."

Victor agreed, changing clothes. When Alexander returned, he found Allison waiting at the door.

He hugged her tightly. "Allison, don't worry. I'm here. The body has been sent for cremation. James is picking up Cade. You don't need to worry about anything." Allison nodded, holding Alexander's hand as they headed to the funeral home. The Carter family helped organize a grand funeral, giving Preston a dignified farewell. When Cade arrived, he went straight to Allison. "Allison, I'm here."

Despite his youth, Cade was mature beyond his years. Allison, with no hesitation, called him over. "Cade, come here."

Holding Cade's hand, Allison addressed everyone. "This is Cade, my uncle's grandson and the future heir of the Bennett Group. He's studying abroad and will take over the Bennett Group after graduation."
