Chapter 2713
Frank was not interested in telling the spiritron vein that and instead asked, "In other words, Jouri's upgrade is actually something you could've given me?"
The dragon thought about it, nodding at first but soon shaking its head. "Yes, but also no. There are many things which I can't grant just because I want to... As for why, it's up to you to learn that in the future."
Frank smiled but said nothing-the strong really loved their riddles instead of giving the full picture.
Still, that was fine.
Since the spiritron put it that way, he would most definitely get the full picture eventually.
Back in reality, there was a flash of golden light before silence returned.
Jouri was left astounded-Frank had disappeared from the wooden stool, as if he never existed.
"What's going on?!" she exclaimed in confusion.
All the data suggested that Frank would survive the experiment or would at least not die if it fell through.
So why this?
Not only would she have trouble explaining herself to her superiors, but she would also feel bad for letting him down, as she genuinely considered Frank a friend.
"What, do you have that little faith?" Frank's voice suddenly spoke just as Jouri felt like her soul was displaced.
Instead of coming from one direction, the voice boomed and echoed, lingering in the air as if he spoke from every direction, which was chilling in itself.
And before Jouri could think about it, blue light shone from every direction before converging into a human silhouette on the wooden stool.
But who could it be if not Frank?
Jouri sighed in relief and muttered under her breath, "We're lucky my data hasn't tricked me, or I really would have no idea what to tell my bestie."
Frank chuckled. "Well, we succeeded. Heck, even if I failed, I have no regrets in life, and you don't have to worry about telling Alda."
Jouri was taken aback, and walked up to ask, "You can hear my thoughts?"
l.not
Frank nodded and smiled. "Right now, I've reached a place where no people have reached before. But it's just a small part of it-if I could. disappear, that means I wouldnt need regeneration or other abilities, and I wouldn't need help against bullets either."
As if concerned that Jouri did not understand, Frank crushed the wooden stool under his foot, using telekinesis to launch a wooden splinter at himself at the speed of a bullet.
What happened next completely changed Jouri's perspective in an instant.noveldrama
Like a reflection in the water, everything seemed to shoot through Frank but without causing any damage.
In contrast to Jouri's shock, Frank was a lot calmer. "But that's all there is to it, though I still feel that there
are plenty of things that have potential for development, and it would leave people in awe.
Strictly speaking, the experiment provided Frank an option that saved a lot of strength-there was no need to work to dodge any attacks, though that was all there is to it.
Jouri smiled. "You're really humble. To be honest, there's no one else who would have your abilities. The way I see it, the abilities that the spiritron vein granted you at the start were too powerful, so the rest would be dull in comparison."
Frank nodded and smiled. "And having it is better than not having. Naturally, it goes without saying that those abilities appear strong but are really pointless, such as..."
Frank widened his eyes and pointed at himself, and Jouri saw his pupils altering in less than a second, like a cat's!
"Right now, I have night vision," Frank explained. "In fact, I could emanate the abilities of any lifeforms, even microbes."
Jouri nodded. "That means you've genetically unchained yourself. From now on, you're the pinnacle of all life on earth."
What do you think?
