Chapter 450 Alarmed
Freya stood at the crossroads, her brows furrowed deeply.
This wasn't Saeville. She wasn't familiar with the streets here. Could she have mistaken someone for her brother?
If it really was her brother, why didn't he recognize her?
Freya, on the verge of tears, realized her bag was gone, and her phone was inside it.
Breathing heavily, she decided to head back to the hotel and then find someone to inquire about the situation in Pontenero.
She looked up at the street sign and memorized the name.
Generally, the gray areas were divided into zones, and everyone operated in different areas with their own set of rules.
So, she needed to go back and find someone to search this area.
Actually, Nathaniel would be the best person to ask for help, but after their fight, she couldn't bring herself to ask him.
Besides, even if she asked, he might not agree. Nathaniel held grudges.
Freya walked along the street, noticing fewer and fewer people around, and there were hardly any taxis.
She decided to flag down a taxi and pay upon arrival, but she had wandered into a secluded area while chasing the boy who looked like her brother, and now she couldn't find a cab.
Struggling to catch her breath, she rounded a corner, and a car silently followed her like a ghost.
Hearing the car behind her, Freya thought it was a taxi and turned around, but was suddenly grabbed and pulled into an alley.
Disoriented, Freya had no time to react before she found herself being dragged away.
As a car sped past, she heard Sawyer's voice shouting.

When she regained her senses, she was being yanked forward by Sawyer, who had parked his car at the alley entrance. He pushed her into the backseat, jumped into the front, and floored the accelerator, merging onto the main road
Turning around, Freya saw the black sedan falling behind, her body drenched in cold sweat and breathing heavily.
The people in that car had clearly intended to run her down when she was alone on the street, but Sawyer had intervened. The car, unable to catch up, turned into another street and disappeared.
"Someone wants to kill you?" Sawyer's tone was teasing, but his voice was tense.
His day had been terrible, with Nathaniel completely humiliating him.
Nathaniel's power seemed almost supernatural, managing to find him in Pontenero and complicating matters with Freya.
In less than two days, Nathaniel had located the nursing home where Sawyer had hidden his mother, away from Alexander's influence. Only his most trusted friend knew about it, but Nathaniel's people had found and controlled that friend, even threatening his mother. noveldrama
who
His mother, who had mental health issues, had been making progress after a long period of care. But now Nathaniel's subordinate, Hudson Martinez, was casually chatting with her, causing Sawyer to break out in a cofer sweat.
He knew what kind of person Nathaniel was. A cruel, ruthless man.
Even Freya, the love of his life, had suffered under him. What chance could he stand?
Nathaniel would do anything to achieve his goals.
Gripping the steering wheel tightly, Sawyer drove to the bustling Stardust Avenue, the street that was surrounded by the vibrant life and activity that provided a sense of strength and comfort.
