Mandy's face brightened as she hurried over to Taylor, her relief palpable. She had truly believed her bag was lost for good, just like Ms. Freya's.

Taylor's face remained tense, and his whole demeanor radiated a sense of irritation. His mood was clearly very poor.

She even tried to provoke Taylor, only to find that he was incredibly unresponsive and difficult to argue with.

The updates she had heard about Taylor's life since then were sporadic. It seemed that his relationship with Nathaniel had soured, and he had been dismissed from Technologent Group.

Mandy had previously considered Nathaniel's treatment of Taylor to be somewhat excessive.

"Hey, wait up!" Mandy called as she caught up with Taylor.

"Let me buy you a drink!" she suggested.

Taylor frowned slightly. He didn't believe he was close enough with her to share a drink.

However, her cheerful smile reminded him of his own sister.

"How old are you?" Taylor asked abruptly.

Mandy was surprised by the question. Did he think she was too young to be out for a drink?

She smiled, pulled out her passport, and pointed to her birthdate, looking up at Taylor with a hint of defiance. "See? I'm old enough to drink. You don't have to worry about it; it's just a drink."

Taylor glanced at the date and noted that she was born in the same year as his sister, although she was born in summer while his sister was born in winter.

Taylor hesitated for a moment and then, without a word, followed Mandy. Mandy found herself thinking that Taylor was unexpectedly endearing.

She called the car rental company to extend the rental period and then helped Taylor into the passenger seat, fastening his seatbelt. She glanced over at the man beside her.
