The locations of Harmony Clinic and the Larsson residence were in completely opposite directions. Jared speculated that at Felix's speed, there was no way he could make it to both places in time to save Laura.

So, once Felix made his move, he was certain to go to the Larsson residence. To guarantee the success of this plan, Jared threatened one of Andrew's subordinates with life or death, forcing them to block all signals in the area surrounding Harmony Clinic.

After all, Andrew held a high-ranking position in the city defense forces and had the power to make this happen.

In Martial City, one of the four major cities under the rule of the royal family alongside Imperial City, various families held power and influence. However, they are all subordinate to the royal family, and their city defense forces are under their command.

As time went by, in a courtyard belonging to the Larsson family in North City, Laura hung from a rope. Though she didn't show any visible signs of physical harm, her appearance was disheveled and far from her usual put-together self.

Several members of the Larsson family were gathered in the courtyard, but despite being Laura's siblings, none of them showed any sympathy or concern.

Some had blank expressions, while others seemed to enjoy the sight, highlighting Laura's low status within the family.

"Five minutes have passed, and Felix still hasn't shown up? Is he really that unreliable?" Jared looked at his watch and grew increasingly irritated as the seconds ticked by.

The thought of how he was beaten and even slapped by such a person filled him with intense hatred. "Could it be that I underestimated him? Maybe his feelings toward Laura are not as strong as I thought?"

If this idea had truth to it, it would render all their plans futile. But just then, two guards from the Larsson family walked in, with Felix trailing behind.

Jared couldn't contain his satisfaction. With Felix present, there was only one possible outcome-death!

The guards approached Jeremy Larsson, the head of the Larsson family, and spoke quietly into his ear.

Jeremy's expression turned to a frown as he responded, "Felix from Harmony Clinic? Why is he here at the Larsson residence?"

Felix's gaze shifted to Laura as she hung in midair, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes. As far as he was concerned, Laura was now under his care and protection, so it was only natural for him to feel anger on her behalf. "I would like Mr. Jeremy to release Laura."

Looking at Felix, Jeremy laughed. "It's been years since anyone dared to joke with me like this."

The Larsson family members chuckled loudly in unison. "Where did this bold kid come from? He's got quite the nerve."

"Does he think that simply joining Harmony Clinic makes him untouchable?"

"Felix, right? The fact that you were even allowed to join our esteemed Larsson family shows respect toward Harmony Clinic. How dare you try to push your luck by making such a bold demand?"
