Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now

Chapter 826

Chapter 826:

Robin, built like an ox, easily overpowered the two fragile women.

“Elissa!” Hadley raced downstairs after them, her heart sinking as she watched Robin bundle Elissa into a car and peel away.

“What now? What do I do? Oh, of course…” Hadley fumbled for her phone and dialed Eric in a frenzy.

“Hadley?”

“Eric!” Time was slipping through Hadley’s fingers. She spilled the words in a rush. “Robin showed up and snatched Elissa! I’m terrified for her…”

Robin had been cruel enough to blind Elissa. Hadley couldn’t shake the dread of what he might do next.

“Are you alright? And the baby? Did Robin lay a hand on you?” Eric’s voice was thick with worry, his first thought was for Hadley’s safety.

“I’m unharmed, Eric—he didn’t lay a finger on me…”

“Good.” Relief washed over Eric, freeing his mind to tackle Elissa’s plight. “Leave this in my hands. Promise me you’ll look after yourself and not give me more to fret over, alright?”

“Alright, but Elissa…”

“Wait for my update.”

After the call, Eric wasted no time ringing Ernest. “Ernest, Robin has taken Elissa.”

Robin whisked Elissa back to the house they had bought when they decided to get married.

Though Elissa’s eyes betrayed her, she knew the place by heart. She had spent a year there, back when their marriage was still fresh and untainted.

That was, until Robin cheated on her again, and this time on their own bed, shattering everything she’d ever held onto.

Since then, Elissa had carved out a new life in a rented haven, vowing never to step foot in this house again.noveldrama

“Inside!” Robin shoved her into the living room with little grace. Elissa tripped, crashing down in front of the sofa, her knee slamming into its sharp edge. Pain shot through her, tears springing to her eyes.

“What’s wrong?” Robin’s brow furrowed as he noticed her wince. “Did you bang into something? Let me see—where’s it hurt? Why are you so fragile?”

He leaned closer, but Elissa dodged his touch.

Through her tears, Elissa shot him a defiant glare. “Don’t you dare touch me with those filthy hands!”

Scrambling to escape him, she retreated, only to tumble to the floor.

“Filthy hands?” Robin’s temper flared, a wicked grin twisting his lips. “How dare you call me filthy? You dirty little whore, you’ve got some nerve!”

He closed the distance between them with deliberate steps, scooping her up from the floor as if she weighed nothing.

“You think I’m filthy? Won’t let me lay a hand on you? Elissa, it seems I’ve let you have your way for far too long!”

He extended an arm and hoisted her up with ease.

“Ah!” Lifted off the ground, Elissa’s heart raced with dread. “What are you going to do?”

“What am I going to do?” Robin sneered, his voice dripping with menace. “Oh, you’ll see soon enough!”
