Under the Heiress' Facade

Chapter 805

Chapter 805

"My mom was fooled by an evil man and ended up having us. She has to take on three jobs just to make ends meet. She doesn't eat enough or sleep well, so it's the same for us too. Look at me, I'm so skinny that my bones are showing."

While speaking, Dora rolled up her sleeves, revealing her plump arms. She even dragged Dylan over to compare. Oh, she seemed to be plumper than Dylan was.

Gino and Dylan were speechless.

The gears in Dora's brain began to turn, and she immediately remarked, "The cake earlier must have made me fatter! I've never had such a nice cake before!"

Dylan's expression darkened. Hera's homemade cakes were a hundred times better than these mass-produced cakes. Couldn't Dora come up with a better lie?

"I don't need him to give me a chance. I'll definitely beat him in the next round," Dylan said confidently. The level of this competition was nothing to him.

"You're far too arrogant!" Gino scoffed before scrutinizing Dylan. He then solemnly warned Dylan, "You can't beat me!"noveldrama

Gino hadn't even used his best tactics for the competition yet.

The confrontation between Dylan and Gino suddenly made Dora worry that Dylan's chance of winning the prize money was gone. She pouted as if she were about to cry.

Gino felt a pang of sympathy wash over him as he watched Dora. Although she was full of lies, she was far more adorable than Dylan was. Although they looked very much alike, their personalities couldn't be any more different.

"Since you're so poor, you shouldn't have come all the way here for a competition. There's no guarantee of winning the championship. That's such a waste of flight tickets."

While speaking, Gino took out a bank card from his pocket. "I have a hundred thousand dollars on this card. Go back home. The championship is mine."

Dora's eyes lit up at the sight of the bank card. A hundred thousand dollars! That was an extra twenty thousand dollars than the prize money from the championship.

They could buy lots of meat and reduce Hera's burden. Dora rubbed her hands as she gazed at Dylan expectantly.

Instead, she watched Dylan gesture someone forward. "Sirs, I want to report Contestant No. 8 for trying to bribe me into dropping out of the competition."

At that moment, two teachers had arrived to inform the finalists to get ready for the next session of the competition and happened to hear Gino's words. Since the teachers had witnessed the ordeal, Gino was caught red-handed.

Bribing was one of the biggest no-nos in a competition, even if the accused was once a world champion.

"Contestant No. 8 Eight, Gino Everett, your behavior is inappropriate. Please come with us to the office for investigation," the two teachers said.

The next session of the competition was about to start. If Gino were to go with them to the office for questioning now, that was as good as disqualifying him from the finals.

Gino was stunned. He did not even bribe Dylan earlier and was only trying to intimidate him. But that wasn't what the teachers thought as they forcibly took Gino away. He exclaimed, " Dylan! Don't you dare leave after the competition! We'll meet at the back entrance!"

"Wow, Dyl. Is he going to order thugs to beat us up? That's so scary." Dora hid behind Dylan.

"Don't worry. He wouldn't do that," Dylan comforted her before leading her to the spectators' seats.

Before he returned to the arena, Dora asked, "So, are we taking the back door once the competition is over?"

Dylan paused a while before saying, "We'll leave by the front door."
