Richest Mogul

Chapter 1713

No one could replace that feeling. The moment Priscilla saw Joe, her heart began to tremble uncontrollably.

A wave of excitement rushed through her, something she couldn't quite put into words. Without bothering to explain herself to Trina, she immediately walked toward Joe.

"Mr. Martin..."

Joe turned at the sound of her voice. There was a slight hint of surprise in his expression. He hadn't expected to run into an employee during his break.

Joe nodded slightly.

As he was about to return to continue playing with Skylar and Vivian, Priscilla quickly added, "Mr. Martin, I have something to discuss with you. Could you spare a few minutes? I promise it won't take long."

Joe raised an eyebrow, showing clear signs of impatience.

Priscilla hurriedly explained, "I was chatting with my best friend earlier when we saw Mrs. Martin. We were talking a bit... well, a bit recklessly. We said we wanted to flirt with you... Of course, it was just a silly conversation between girls.

"But we were speaking loudly, and I'm worried Mrs. Martin might have overheard us. I wanted to apologize to both you and Mrs. Martin. I promise I'll be more careful with my words in the future."

She had learned her lesson. There was no way she would speak so recklessly again. Otherwise, she would land herself in huge trouble.

Joe raised an eyebrow, his gaze sharpening. "Such thoughts should never cross your mind. Otherwise, don't expect to stay in Jipsburg."

Priscilla was struck dumb with shock. Joe had not said anything about leaving Martin Group; he had said she would not be allowed to stay in Jipsburg. It was a clear warning.

She stood frozen, unsure of what to do next, when she saw Joe turning back toward the children's play area. The sound of children's laughter filled the air, and parents enjoyed their time together.

What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway had turned into a kind of punishment for Priscilla. Seeing that Joe had already walked away, Trina hurried over to her.

"You spoke with Mr. Martin for so long-do you think he believes you?"

Priscilla's face went pale, and she took a long time to gather her words. "He didn't believe me... What he really cares about is Mrs. Martin's thoughts. He's worried that my words might have made her think too much. He said if I ever had any improper thoughts again I wouldn't be able to stay in Jipsburg."

"What? Mr. Martin said that. How could he be so cold and heartless? You're suchnoveldrama

a beauty, speaking to him with those teary eyes, and he couldn't even show you any sympathy," Trina exclaimed in disbelief.

Priscilla let out a bitter laugh. "I think I've made a big mistake."

She knew her work could improve her life, but her greed seemed to have gotten the best of her. She knew Joe wasn't easy to manipulate, especially with a wife he loved deeply. Yet, she had been so confident in herself, thinking she was some sort of exception.

Now, it was clear she had been overestimating herself.

"Then... why don't we go straight to Mrs. Martin and apologize? It was so hard for us to stay in Jipsburg after graduation, and we've worked so hard to get here. If we lose ourjobs, it'll be all for nothing." Trina_O panicked.

Priscilla gazed at the happy family of three-Joe, Skylar, and Vivian. Her jealousy

nearly boiled over, and her eyes began to sting with tears.
